Efron’s favorite on-screen kiss of all time is shared with his The Greatest Showman co-star, Zendaya. In fact, not only did Efron fail to hesitate when calling it his favorite on-screen kiss, but according to Teen Vogue, he also calls it his “favorite kiss ever.”
While promoting the film, Zendaya explains the chemistry between these two characters. “You’re in the moment!” she says. “When you’re into a character, the whole time they’re not allowed to as much as touch, talk, speak, or have a moment between each other. So every moment, even if they’re just touching, is incredibly special. It’s not just another kiss. It’s different. We try to take ourselves out of it and become these two characters, and that’s their moment.”
Efron gushes in response, saying, “This might be my favorite kiss… I think ever.”
It makes sense that these two would connect so strongly considering their backgrounds. Both Zendaya and Efron started out on Disney Channel at a young age. Now, the two remain good friends and can be spotted on Instagram goofing around with one another.
