From the Met Gala to the red carpet, Zendaya always slays with her outfits. With the 2020 Emmy Awards being somewhat socially distant, Zendaya took her fashion moments to social media and video clips for the award show. Here’s what we know about this Euphoria actor, her Emmy win, and her looks of the evening.

Zendaya slayed the Emmy fashion moments, even from her house

Some know her for her work with Disney Channel, others know her as MJ from Spider-Man: Far From Home. Last summer also brought Zendaya’s first HBO series, the Emmy-nominated and award-winning drama, Euphoria

There, she appeared as the main character, Rue, a sober teenager whose life gets turned upside down thanks to a friendship with the new girl at school, Jules. Zendaya even earned the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy Award for her performance, becoming the youngest women ever to receive the award.

Normally, Zendaya would stun with her red carpet look at this award show. Due to some unfortunate social distancing and safety precautions, the actress showed her first look alone on the stage, talking about social justice issues and introducing a discussion with Issa Rae.

Fans caught a glimpse of this first look of the night on social media, where she appeared in a video wearing a plunging violet and black dress. She styled her hair as a slicked back bun. Of course, she finished off the look with some Christian Louboutin red bottom heels.

When Zendaya accepted the award with her family, the actor sported a new outfit and a new hairstyle. Now, she had bangs and a black and white polka dot skirt which connected to a sparkly bra on top.

This wouldn’t be the first time, however, Zendaya stole the show with her look, though. The 2019 Emmys brought the actor in an Emerald dress and red hair, while the 2019 Met Gala brought Zendaya in her Cinderella-inspired “camp” look, magically dress and all.

‘Euphoria’ earned a number of Emmy Awards for its first season

Before Zendaya even learned about the status of her nomination, Euphoria snagged a few Emmy Awards. The makeup artists for Euphoria, Doniella Davy, Kirsten Sage Coleman, and Tara Lang Shah, earned the award for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic).

The Emmy for Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics went to Labrinth, the musician behind the Euphoria soundtrack. These artists return for the second season of this series, which paused production earlier during 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Zendaya will also return to portray the main character, Rue.

More information regarding the new episodes of Euphoria will, presumably, be announced in the coming months. Season 1 of this drama series is available for streaming on HBO Go and HBO MAX.
