Zendaya sparked engagement rumors with a stunning diamond ring at the Golden Globes
On Jan. 5, 2025, Zendaya arrived at the Golden Globes wearing a custom Louis Vuitton gown and Bulgari jewelry. (She was nominated for her performance in Challengers but ultimately lost to Demi Moore for The Substance.) What quickly caught fans’ attention, however, was the diamond ring she had on her left hand. Walking the red carpet, she wore not only a Bulgari ring on her right hand, but also a mysterious diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger.
Quickly, engagement rumors began to spread online that the Challengers star might be engaged to Holland, after starring in 2016’s Spider-Man: Homecoming together.
While the two haven’t publicly commented on a potential engagement, engagement ring experts have analyzed the sparkler. Per experts at UK jeweler Steven Stone, who closely examined photos of Zendaya’s ring, it appears to be a six-carat cushion cut diamond in a solitaire setting with a yellow gold band.
It also features a button-back style, a signature of UK jewelry designer Jessica McCormack. Zendaya’s ring, seen below, is estimated to be worth $300,000.

So, why might Holland and Zendaya not go public with a potential engagement? Because, as a source told People back in April 2024, that’s simply not the kind of couple they are. An insider claimed that while “there has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality,” the pair aren’t likely to make an announcement right away.
“They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part,” the source explained. “Both are private,” they added of Zendaya and Holland, noting that being in the public eye “has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.”
What Zendaya’s said about getting married and having children: hasn’t ‘happened quite yet’
In an October 2024 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zendaya opened up about the next chapter of her life, getting married and having kids. The 28-year-old told the outlet that while she’s known for playing “quite young” characters, she wants that to change.
“I’ve been playing a 16-year-old since I was 16. [Sitting here right now] I probably look a little bit like a child because I’m not in hair and makeup,” she said. “And I get that, I get the Rue [of Euphoria] of it all. And that totally works and has worked for me. But also I am not a child. And at some point you have to play characters that are your own age and have experiences that you don’t have—for example, having children or getting married.”
“While those are all things I want and I’m looking forward to,” she added, “they just haven’t happened quite yet.”
