Zoë Kravitz Was ‘Attacked’ With an Unwanted Kiss From This Pop Singer
Zoë Kravitz has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry over the past decade. The actor and model has appeared in movies from X-Men to Mad Max and starred in shows such as HBO’s hit series Big Little Lies. Throughout her time in the spotlight, she’s also been known for several high-profile romances.
Zoë Kravitz’s relationship history over the years
Zoë Kravitz first burst on to the scene in the late 2000s as an actor. As the daughter of superstar musician Lenny Kravitz and actor Lisa Bonet, Kravitz inherited both of her parents’ talents, as she began to establish herself as a star of both stage and screen.
Kravitz entered into several relationships throughout her time in the public eye. In 2010, she reportedly had a fling with her Beware the Gonzo co-star Ezra Miller. Her next high-profile relationship was with You star Penn Badgley from 2011 to 2013.
In 2016, Kravitz began dating actor Karl Glusman after the two met at a bar — something Kravitz enjoyed, as opposed to meeting people on an app or on a movie set. The two got married in May 2019, but they filed for divorce in January 2021 after 18 months of marriage.
There was one romantic encounter Kravitz had, however, that became highly publicized for all the wrong reasons.
Zoë Kravitz once got an unwanted kiss from Lily Allen
In 2018, Kravitz was in the headlines after the release of British singer Lily Allen’s memoir My Thoughts Exactly, in which Allen detailed an intimate encounter the two had a few years prior. Allen reflected on getting to know Kravitz while her band at the time, Lolawolf, opened for her in 2014 and revealed that the two shared a kiss after a night out in New York.
But in an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen later that year, Kravitz revealed that the kiss wasn’t exactly a mutual decision.
“If by kissing, she means attacking, then yes, she kissed me,” Kravitz said plainly. “[She] attacked me.”
Cohen asked her if Allen described the situation accurately in her book, and she shook her head and acknowledged, “No.”
“[It was portrayed] like I wanted it,” she added.
Cohen then asked her if she had a chance to read the book, to which she bluntly responded, “I don’t think anybody read the book.”
Lily Allen responded to Zoë Kravitz’s claims
In early 2019, Allen was asked about Kravitz’s recollection of that night in an interview on TRL Australia.
“I can’t really speak for her,” Allen admitted to host Lisa Hamilton. “All I can say is my version of events, which doesn’t match hers, clearly.”
Allen went on to gush about Big Little Lies and was excited to watch its second season.
