Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum Couldn’t Take Their Eyes Off Each Other at the Premiere of ‘Blink Twice’
In 2024, Zoë Kravitz made her directorial debut with Blink Twice, a film that stars her fiancé, Channing Tatum. The couple have kept a low profile since they were first romantically linked in 2021, but they showed their strong romantic connection at the film’s London premiere. The pair hit the red carpet wearing Saint Laurent and kept their eyes on each other.
At the Blink Twice premiere, Tatum, one of the film’s leads, kept his look simple in a black Saint Laurent suit with a thin tie. Kravitz also opted for Saint Laurent, wearing a red tank top with a matching maxi skirt and belt. She kept her styling simple with a pair of diamond earrings, natural makeup, and a sleek bun.
Tatum’s involvement in his fiancée’s directorial debut has been a long time coming. Before they confirmed their relationship, she announced he would play a key character in the thriller.
“Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character,” Kravitz told Deadline in 2021. “I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”
Tatum said it was both “scary and liberating” to take on the role. Several months after this, the couple made their relationship official.
Blink Twice also stars Naomi Ackie, who wore a white, cowl-neck dress from Loewe to the premiere. The dress had draped panels that revealed the actor’s torso. Ackie said she wanted the part in Kravitz’s film from the second she read the script.
“I would have done anything to play Frida,” Ackie told IndieWire. “I would have done 10 rounds of auditions, but during our Zoom call, we just started plotting, and I knew we were in a really good place, because I couldn’t put the script down.”
This is Kravitz’s first time directing a film. She also co-wrote the script with E.T. Feigenbaum. She has been working on the project since 2017 and says she can’t wait to take this next step in her career.
“This is my first feature and it’s taken many years to get to this point and I’m very excited to step into this new phase,” she said. “There’s absolutely a thriller element to the film, but it has comedy, drama and real heart. At heart through, it’s a genre thriller.”
Her father, Lenny Kravitz, also attended the premiere. Like his daughter and future son-in-law, he wore Saint Laurent, opting for a loose, double breasted suit without a shirt underneath.
Tatum, who became engaged to Kravitz in Oct. 2023, shared how much it meant to him to work with his romantic partner.
“To get to create something with someone that you love is probably one of the most gratifying things other than having a kid with somebody I think,” he said, per People. “It’s one of those … you truly are creating something from nothing and it’s just like creating a marriage or creating something where you’re like, everything that we are is going into this thing and you want to make it with people that you love.”
Though the couple rarely comments on their relationship, Lenny Kravitz recently said they plan to tie the knot in 2025.
