The 32-year-old actor has ended her marriage to her husband of less than two years, Karl Glusman. Though the actor has been fairly private about her relationship’s demise, she may have just revealed the real reason behind her shocking divorce.

Glusmand and Kravitz have been together since 2016. They met at a bar and were introduced by mutual friends. The actor revealed that he had a crush on Kravitz but he was too nervous to make a move. “It was cute!” – and he moved in soon afterward,” Kravitz told Rolling Stone. “I can be my weirdest self around him. It’s so relaxing to be around someone where you can be a hundred percent how you feel.”
The pair got engaged in 2018 and tied the knot on June 29, 2019, at Lenny Kravitz’s stunning Paris apartment with a ton of A-listers in attendance. They included Jason Momoa, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Cara Delevingne.
Zoë Kravitz is divorcing Karl Glusman after 18 months of marriage
In Jan. 2020, Kravitz gushed about her relationship with her actor-husband, speaking out about the balance that they’d found together.
“Yes. I mean, Karl has his own career and needs to focus on that, but we’ve been together for a few years now, and we know where we are,” she told Elle. “If anything, the best part of being married is being able to have the odd fight and knowing neither of us is going to walk out the door. The commitment feels safe.”
Unfortunately, it looks like the marriage has run its course. In court documents obtained by People, the actor has filed for divorce from Glusman. Kravitz’s team also confirmed the divorce filings. Though no further details have been revealed at this time, the High Fidelity actor just hinted at a major reason for her divorce on her Instagram account.

As we entered a new year, fans were stunned by the news of Kravitz’s impending divorce, especially since the actor filed paperwork to split from Glusman just two days before Christmas. The pair have been married for a year and a half and to commemorate their one-year anniversary in June 2020, The Batman actor paid a touching tribute to her husband.
However, as news broke about their relationship’s demise, the Big Little Lies actor posted a very revealing meme about what went wrong in their relationship on Instagram.
In her Instagram stories, she shared a photo of a woman throwing out a massive bag of trash. The woman was labeled, “The Universe” while the trash was labeled “People places and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good.” Kravitz captioned the entire thing, “Mood.”
It seems like the actor is doing what’s best for her.
