‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’: Who’s in the Cast?
NBC recently aired the pilot of a unique show titled “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.” You’ll likely recognize a few of the members of this talented cast. Here’s a rundown of who’s in the “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” cast.
Jane Levy
Jane Levy made her acting debut in the television series “Shameless.” She played the character Mandy Milkovich for five episodes in 2011. The following year, she made her film debut in the movie “Nobody Walks,” in which she played the character Caroline. Her next recurring role was in the television series “Suburgatory.” She played Tessa Altman from 2011 to 2014. Her other acting roles include “What/If,” “Castle Rock,” “Twin Peaks,” and “There’s… Johnny!” Levy plays lead character Zoey.
Peter Gallagher
Peter Gallagher made his acting debut in a 1979 episode of the daytime drama “Guiding Light.” The following year, he appeared in six episodes of the television series “Skag.” That year, Gallagher made his film debut in the movie “The Idolmaker,” in which he played the role of Caesare. His other acting roles include “While You Were Sleeping,” “American Beauty,” “To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday,” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” Gallagher plays Mitch, Zoey’s father.
Lauren Graham
Lauren Graham made her acting debut in a 1994 episode of the daytime drama “All My Children.” In 1996, she had a recurring role on the television series “Good Company,” in which she played the character Liz Gibson. Graham became a household name when she joined the cast of “Gilmore Girls.” She played the role of Lorelei Gilmore from 2000 to 2007. Her other acting roles include appearances in “Parenthood,” “Conrad Bloom,” “Seinfeld,” and “Law & Order.” Graham plays Joan, Zoey’s supervisor.
Mary Steenburgen
Mary Steenburgen made her acting debut in the 1978 movie “Goin’ South.” She appeared in her first television acting role when she played the character Mary/Little Red Riding Hood in a 1983 episode of “Faerie Tale Theatre.” Her other acting roles include appearances in “Joan of Arcadia,” “Step Brothers,” “Orange is the New Black,” “The Last Man on Earth,” and “Bless the Harts.” Steenburgen plays Maggie, Zoey’s mother.
John Clarence Stewart
One of John Clarence Stewart’s early acting roles was in a 2015 episode of the television series “Gotham” titled “All Happy Families Are Alike.” The following year, he began playing the character Alex Wesley in the series “Luke Cage.” He continued in that role until 2018. His other acting roles include appearances in “Blue Bloods,” “What/If,” and “Hawaii Five-O.” Stewart plays Simon, Zoey’s handsome co-worker.
Skylar Astin
Skylar Astin made his acting debut in the 2008 film “Hamlet 2,” in which he played the role of Rand Posin. One of his early TV roles was in a 2011 episode of the series “Love Bites,” titled “Boys to Men.” His other acting roles include appearances in “Pitch Perfect,” “Glee,” “Graves,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” and “Trolls: The Beat Goes On!” Astin plays Max, Zoey’s friend and co-worker.
Alex Newell
Alex Newell made his acting debut in the 2013 film “Geography Club,” in which he played the character Ike. Newell got his big break after joining the cast of “Glee.” He played the role of Wade “Unique” Adams from 2012 to 2015. His other acting roles include appearances in “Resident Advisors,” “Super Novas,” and “Empire.” Newell plays Mo, Zoey’s neighbor.
Michael Thomas Grant
Michael Thomas Grant made his acting debut in 2013 in the television series “Adam & Paul Save the Whole, Entire Apartment Complex.” His other acting roles include appearances in “Up North,” “Roadies,” and “Burner Room.” Grant plays Leif, Zoey’s co-worker.
