Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist has a new addition, and it’s not just Zoey’s nephew, Miles. The show recently introduced a new co-worker, George, at Zoey’s office. Who plays George on the show?
Zoey had a lot of decisions to make
Zoey was in a position where she had to make some tough decisions. One choice she had to make was whether to take the promotion to executive director of the 4th floor. At first, she declined, but later she decided to go for it.
The second decision she had to make was whether to choose Max or Simon. Right now, it seems like Max is her choice. Making things even more difficult is the recent death of her father, Mitch.
There has been a lot of change in Zoey’s personal and professional life. Her first instinct was to hide under the covers and never come out. However, Mo encouraged her to get out of bed and start making some decisions.
Who plays George on ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’?
One change at the office is the replacement of Max, Zoey’s friend and former co-worker. Since Max decided to leave the company, it was necessary to get someone to take over his duties. George is having a tough time fitting in and seems a bit lonely. When Zoey hears one of his “heart songs,” she learns how difficult it is for him to be the new guy at work.
George is played by actor Harvey Guillén. He made his television acting debut in a 2008 episode of the show Miss Guided. He played Lopez in an episode titled “The List.”
In 2010,Guillén joined the cast of Huge. He played Alistair for 10 episodes. Guillén made his film debut in the 2012 movie General Education. He’s also known for his appearances in What We Do in the Shadows, The Magicians, The Thundermans, and Eye Candy.
What to expect this season on ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’
We’ll continue to see Zoey adjust to life without her father. We’ll also see how Zoey manages the love triangle that has developed between her, Max, and Simon. One thing we won’t see however, are references to the COVID-19 pandemic. Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2 will focus on the characters and their lives.
“I made the conscious choice to not have this show taking place during the pandemic time,” creator Austin Winsberg told Entertainment Tonight.
“The musical world of the show and some of the wish fulfillment, and some of the hope and joy of the show, I just didn’t want it to live in a world where corona was happening,” he continued. “I wanted people to be able to watch it as an escape from that. I also thought the idea of musical numbers with dancers and singers in masks the whole time robs the show of what, hopefully, makes it special.”
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist airs Tuesdays on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
