Almost a Dozen ‘Golden’ Contestants Will Appear on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
We don’t have all the details on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise yet. While we know that the series will return from hiatus this summer with a new cast, a new showrunner, and a new location, we don’t know everyone who will be appearing. With that being said, we have been given some hints. Contestants from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette will be at the beach, and we have some guesses about who it might be.
‘Bachelor in Paradise’ will include 10 ‘Golden’ contestants
According to the Desert News, 10 contestants from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette will be in the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise. Contestants from the golden versions of the iconic dating show will mix and mingle with younger contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Some fans have theorized that the older contestants will serve as mentors, in a way.

So far, we know Gary Livingston and Leslie Fhima, who appeared on The Golden Bachelorette and The Golden Bachelor, respectively, have signed up for the series. They are the only two older contestants that we are sure are headed to Costa Rica, but we have a few other guesses.
Gerry Turner has opted out of the series
While plenty of Golden contestants will be looking for love on Bachelor in Paradise, Gerry Turner will not be one of them. The lead of season 1 of The Golden Bachelor has opted out of the show this time. ABC reportedly asked him to sign on. Turner said he turned down the opportunity because he had already dated the ladies who will appear and hadn’t found love with them the first time around.

He was not entirely against the idea, though. Turner recently said he’d be open to revisiting the dating competition in the future if ABC is interested. Now, though, he claims to be in a serious relationship. While ABC might be open to bringing Turner back, Bachelor Nation fans might not react as favorably. Turner’s quick marriage and even quicker divorce after the show made him look a bit like a villain.
Turner isn’t the only older Bachelor Nation alum we can count out for Bachelor in Paradise. Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are also out of the running. The couple left The Golden Bachelorette engaged. They appear to be doing well despite still conducting their relationship long-distance. Susan Noles has found love more organically, so she’s out, too.
So, who else can fans expect to see?
We know two people who will be appearing and at least four who will not. We still have eight slots for Golden contestants. So, who else is in the running for Bachelor in Paradise?
While ABC isn’t giving much away, we have some solid guesses about potential contestants. April Kirkwood, Edith Aguirre, and Nancy Hulkower feel like they’d be a good fit for the competition. April and Nancy might even bring some drama as they appeared to have a falling out after The Golden Bachelor.

Earlier this week, ABC announced that the lead for season 2 of The Golden Bachelor would not be a contestant from The Golden Bachelorette. The news opened up a lot of possibilities for Bachelor in Paradise. Guy Gansert, who fans believed was in the running to lead season 2 of The Golden Bachelor, feels like a good fit for the series. Pascal Ibigui, Jack Lencioni, and Jonathan Rone would all make the competition fun. Rone recently ended a relationship. Lencioni made it clear months ago that he’d entertain any opportunity that came his way. Ibigui was open to the idea of another dating show, but was interested in younger contestants.
