Amber Portwood is back on social media again. Since her return to TikTok late last year, the Teen Mom star has taken aim at everyone, from her eldest child’s father to her most recent ex-fiance to her costars. While Portwood really dislikes Gary Shirley and Gary Wayt, she has a brand new nemesis. In a recent social media rant, Portwood claims she’s looking to have Teen Mom: The Next Chapter canceled, but fans are fairly certain she’s been fired.

Amber Portwood said she is having ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ Canceled

Amber Portwood has spent the last few months hurling allegations at her enemies on TikTok. Now, she’s making claims about the network that employs her. During a recent TikTok Live event, Portwood told a fellow content creator that she believed MTV had canceled Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

She said that if the show hadn’t been canceled yet, she would ensure it is no longer on the air. The reality TV star didn’t elaborate on how she would make that happen. Still, she insisted the ‘ball” was in her “court” when it came to the health of the franchise.

Has Amber Portwood been fired?

Amber Portwood insists she’s done with the Teen Mom franchise. So done, in fact, that she claims that she can have the series canceled. While Portwood likely believes that is the case, there is no evidence to back up the claim. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary. A production insider connected with The Ashley Reality Roundup Group this week. They insist that there has been no word on a potential cancellation, but the insider did note that production is on a break as Teen Mom: The Next Chapter season 2B airs.

What is more likely than a cancellation is Amber Portwood’s dismissal from the network. While Portwood has not said she’s been fired, her involvement in season 2B has been limited, and she was not seen in the trailer for the season. The insider also told The Ashley that MTV had not invited Portwood to film the reunion special. The snub suggests the production team doesn’t intend to bring her back.

While Amber Portwood is an original cast member, her story has spiraled multiple times over the years. With her lack of custody, violent outbursts, and current social media rants, she’s become a liability to MTV. They would likely want to limit their involvement with her, at least for now.
