Butler wants to ‘take advantage’ of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Hollywood dating knowledge
Butler might just become the next DiCaprio thanks to the Titanic alum himself. An insider has claimed Butler is turning to the Hollywood “It Guy” for advice on dating—and acting.
“Austin knows he’s the It Guy in Hollywood, and he plans to take advantage of that,” the source told Radar Online. DiCaprio, for his part, is happy to share his “expertise” with Butler. “Leo’s happy to pass on his expertise to a young stud that he believes is worthy to follow in his footsteps,” the insider went on.
It’s gotten to the point where The Wolf of Wall Street star is suggesting potential candidates for flings. “Leo’s like his love guru, pointing him to women who won’t expect too much in terms of a relationship—but are happy to bask in his stardom for a while.”
DiCaprio’s guiding Butler ‘through the spoils of stardom’ after Kaia Gerber split
The source continued, saying now that Butler’s single after almost three years with Kaia Gerber—the two reportedly split in late 2024—he’s embracing DiCaprio’s advice about not being locked down. DiCaprio, for his part, is currently dating model Vittoria Ceretti, 26, after they were first spotted kissing in Ibizia in the summer of 2023.
Butler split from Gerber, the insider claimed, amid pressure from the model and her parents, model Cindy Crawford and Casamigos co-founder Randy Gerber, to commit. “Austin is sorry he hurt her,” the source said. “But he wants to let Leo guide him through the spoils of stardom—and Leo’s happy to have a playboy protégé.”
Butler, 33, and Gerber, 23, were first linked in 2021. They made their red carpet debut in 2022. The former couple dated for nearly three years before ultimately calling it quits late last year.

The Dune: Part Two star reportedly has someone new in his life, fellow actor Zoë Kravitz. Butler and Kravitz, 36, are said to have bonded in the wake of their respective breakups. She split from ex-fiancé Channing Tatum in October 2024, shortly before Butler and Gerber’s split. However, things are still apparently very new for the two who co-star in the upcoming crime thriller, Caught Stealing.
“Austin and Zoë have been spending time together over the past few weeks,” a source told the outlet. “They get on very well, and their chemistry is as good off-screen as it is on it. Austin and Zoe have been keeping it under the radar and aren’t putting a label on anything yet.”
“They are both very respectful of their ex-partners and are just seeing how things go,” the insider added.
