
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast Confirmed to Include Vanessa Kirby, Sebastian Stan, Chris Hemsworth, More
Avengers, assemble. On Wednesday, Marvel confirmed the cast for the much-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday.

In a YouTube livestream, the studio revealed a series of empty director’s chairs, each bearing the name of one of the movie’s stars. First up was Chris Hemsworth, who will be back as Thor. Also on the list were Vanessa Kirby, (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Captain America), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier), Letitia Wright (Shuri/Black Panther), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Wyatt Russell (John Walker), Simu Liu (Shang Chi), Florence Pugh (Yelena Bulova)
Other names included in the ongoing livestream include Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, and Joseph Quinn. Marvel previously announced that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. would play Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, which will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. One Marvel alum who won’t appear in the movie is Elizabeth Olson. The Scarlet Witch actor recently told The Hollywood Reporter that she would not be a part of Doomsday or its sequel.
Avengers: Doomsday is now in production in London, with an expected release date of May 1, 2026. The follow-up movie Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for May 2027.
