How did Benson Boone become famous?

Benson Boone’s meteoric rise to fame has been nothing short of fascinating for music fans. Boone first grew his following on TikTok, starting with short singing videos during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, he auditioned for American Idol. While he made it to the top 24 during his season, he opted to withdraw to pursue music without a connection to the signing competition.

The decision was a fortuitous one. Since walking away from the show, he signed with Night Street Records, released his first album, and opened for Taylor Swift during the Eras tour. Now he’s making waves at Coachella, and his rise to fame isn’t slowing down. Boone’s TikTok following has grown from 1 million followers in 2021 to nearly 8 million today.
