Casandra “Cassie” Ventura was the first to blow the whistle on hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ behavior. Ventura dated Combs from 2007 to 2018. In a 2023 lawsuit, she accused him of rape, abuse, and sex trafficking. Since then, many others have come forward with allegations against Combs, and Homeland Security raided two of Combs’ properties. Now, Ventura will reportedly testify under oath in Combs’ trial.

According to TMZ, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura will testify against Sean “Diddy” Combs “under her own name.” Combs heads to trial in 2026 on charges of sex trafficking and engaging in prostitution.

Ventura is “Victim 1” in the case. The case includes three other alleged victims who hope to keep their identities private while the trial proceeds. Keeping their real names out of the public eye prevents harassment from outsiders. In March 2025, Combs’ legal team received the names of the three anonymous women with allegations against Combs.

As for Ventura, she’s been at the center of the case since before it began. She sued Combs in 2023 rape, abuse, and human trafficking, though Combs and Ventura settled within a day of filing. As of the end of 2024, Combs faced around 300 civil lawsuits against him by other alleged victims.

Combs’ trial begins on May 5, 2025.
