Chappell Roan Continues Silver Streak With ‘Weird and Scary’ Makeup Look at Paris Fashion Week
Chappell Roan debuted one of her wildest makeup looks yet during her first Fashion Week in Paris. The singer/songwriter wore a full face of vaguely Spock-inspired makeup that complemented her distinctive chrome outfit. Fans of the “Pink Pony Club” singer are loving her propensity for silver. Roan can’t stop wearing silver. Maybe she’s paying homage to her debut studio album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which went Platinum in several countries, or her single, “Good Luck, Babe!” which also went quadruple Platinum. Regardless, she debuted her newest silver style in Paris. Roan is making a splash at her first Fashion Week. Today, she attended the Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2025/26 show at Palais de Tokyo.
The contemporary art museum served as the perfect backdrop for the avant-garde runway presentation of gothic, grunge, and futuristic designs. Roan pushed the limits of her look for the show. The 26-year-old told Dazed, “I always feel the coolest wearing Rick [Owens]. I get to do crazy, scary makeup like this. And I like to look weird and scary. And I think that Rick is the best for that.” Roan described her collaboration with Owens as a “match made in heaven.”
The “Red Wine Supernova” singer swept graphic black eyeliner up across her lids and temples and added asymmetrical black dots across her forehead and cheeks. The drag-inspired look featured a heavy contrast thanks to Roan’s pale foundation and expertly blended gray lipliner. The natural brunette teased her red curls into a voluminous ‘do, which accented the structural silver Rick Owens dress. Featuring a chest and midriff cutout, the strapless piece was paired with thigh-high black leather GCDS Morso boots.
Prior to the Rick Owens show, Roan attended the Rabanne show in Paris. She donned a cream and silver slip dress trimmed in lace. The HOT TO GO! singer layered the backless piece over a matching midi skirt, maintaining another cool-toned metallic look perfect for her creamy skin tone. Roan previously partnered with Rabanne for another silvery style. At the 2024 VMAs, she wore a medieval chainmail dress with a fringed headdress and fingerless chainmail gloves. The mixed-metal look came straight from Rabanne’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Another recent look Roan look featuring her style color of choice? Her only ready-to-wear look at the Grammy Awards. The “Femininomenon” singer donned a pewter Acne Studios dress to accept her Grammy Award for Best New Artist. She added a cone-shaped headdress called a hennin, which fell off while she spoke to the audience. Roan’s steely looks are anything but drab.
