Elvis Presley‘s cousin, Danny Smith is setting the record straight, speaking directly to fans to debunk some of the biggest rumors in the King of Rock and Roll’s history. Rumors, conspiracy theories, and allegations have followed Elvis decades after his death. But Smith is ready to put an end to the biggest Elvis rumor of all.

Danny Smith debunks one of the biggest Elvis Presley rumors ever

“Where do you want me to begin?” Elvis Presley’s cousin, Danny Smith, asked. He then debunked the biggest tall-tale in the King of Rock and Roll’s history.

“I am sick of hearing about Elvis still being alive. I can see why some folks would still want that, I do. That’s probably always going to be. Nobody wishes he was alive more than my family,” Smith explained. His father is Billy Smith, Elvis’ cousin, and his mother is Jo.

Smith continued, “I can assure you that. But it’s not true.”

There’s a second rumor that also irritates Smith. It’s a lingering question if Elvis had any children other than Lisa Marie Presley.

“Another one that’s starting to cause a little aggravation is his child, his son, his daughter. It’s funny because I’ve said it before and I’m gonna say it one more time,” Danny added.

“It’s a simple easy thing but it never comes about. There’s a thing called DNA. There’s always a reason or an excuse why they can’t produce evidence. After a while, it gets a little agitating.”

Why do people think Elvis is alive 48 years after his death?

The idea that Elvis Presley is still alive has persisted for decades. There are several reasons why some people cling to the hope that the King of Rock and Roll is still alive.

Elvis died under unclear circumstances in August 1977 at the age of 42. Some fans couldn’t understand how he could have died so young.

There was also the official explanation of his death, ruled as a heart attack. While an official family-issued autopsy report is scheduled to be released in 2027, some fans still believe Elvis faked his death to escape the pressures of fame.

The cultural impact of Elvis remains ever-present. The idea that he could be alive buys into the idea of eternal stardom and this lingering conspiracy theory proves this thought.

Finally, the myth that Elvis could still be alive keeps him in the public consciousness. This keeps his spirit alive for new and longtime fans.

Elvis Presley had one biological child, Lisa Marie Presley, who was born on Feb. 1, 1968, to Elvis and his wife Priscilla Presley. Lisa Marie is the only confirmed child of Elvis Presley.

However, there have been various rumors and speculations over the years about Elvis having other children, but none of these claims have been substantiated. There have been paternity lawsuits and claims from people alleging they were Elvis’s offspring, but none of these have resulted in proven evidence to suggest that Elvis had any other children besides Lisa Marie.

Lisa Marie Presley inherited Elvis’ Graceland estate after his death, and she became a prominent entertainment figure in her own right. She had four children, Riley Keough, Benjamin Storm Keough, Harper Lockwood, and Finley Lockwood.

Lisa Marie Presley died at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, 2023. Riley Keough is now in charge of Graceland.
