Expert Sounds Alarm on Meghan Markle’s Recipe Mistake in ‘With Love, Meghan’
Meghan Markle shared a series of recipes and lifestyle tips during season 1 of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. However, one expert is sounding the alarm on one of these techniques, claiming Meghan’s mistake could cause harm to viewers.
Expert says ‘don’t try this at home’ about Meghan Markle’s bath salt recipe
On her YouTube channel Simple Beauty with Jennifer, esthetician Jennifer Christopherson warned viewers not to follow Meghan Markle’s recipe for bath salts shared in episode one of With Love, Meghan. She claims they are missing an essential ingredient.
In the episode “Hello Honey,” Meghan creates a welcome basket for her visiting friend and longtime makeup artist, Daniel Martin. One of the items included are homemade bath salts. Meghan created these using ingredients including epsom salt, Himalayan salt, arnica oil, and lavender oil.
Christopherson added a lengthy video description where she explained her reasoning why viewers should heed her warning. She claims viewers should think twice before attempting Meghan’s recipe.
“There MAY be the potential for skin irritations if you use an essential oil on its own without using ‘carrier oils.’ In episode 1 of her series, Meghan makes a DIY at-home bath salt soak recipe. But I realized that there is potential for someone to get confused with the ingredients she uses.”
Christopherson added, “Essential oils are volatile plant compounds that may have the potential to irritate people’s skin, especially those who are particularly sensitive! In Ep. 1 of With Love, Meghan, where we see her make up her bath salt recipe, Meghan MAY have used an essential oil MIXED with a carrier oil, BUT she does NOT clarify this.”
The esthetician shared her own bath salts recipe with what she added are the correct ratios of Epsom Salts, essential oil, and carrier oil. Carrier oils include jojoba, argan, and almond oil, which are not indicated in the recipe Meghan shared.
Despite the mistake, ‘With Love, Meghan’ has been renewed for season 2

Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has been renewed for a second season on Netflix. Just days after its release, the streaming service Netflix confirmed season 2 had already been filmed and is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2025.
The announcement did not share details regarding upcoming guests or lifestyle and recipe tips and tricks for season 2. There has also not been any announcement regarding the number of total episodes in season 2. Nor has there been an official release date yet.
Details regarding the episodes can be found via an official Netflix press release. These include all the recipes for food and body products featured, as well as decorating tips.
Will Meghan Markle’s lifestyle series save her and Prince Harry’s Netflix contract?
It is yet to be determined if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix contract will be renewed in the fall of 2025. The couple initially signed with the streaming service in 2020 to the tune of $100 million .
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have completed five projects for Netflix in five years. These included Harry & Meghan, Polo, Live to Lead, With Love, Meghan, and Heart of Invictus. Thus far only two have generated substantial viewer interest: the couple’s tell-all series and Meghan’s cooking series.
Fox News Digital guest and podcast host Kinsey Schofield shared commentary on the reasons she feels Meghan Markle needs to pivot to achieve long-term success. She says it’s “more than store-bought peanut butter pretzels.”
“The transition from Queen of Victimhood and score-settling to Betty Crocker is going to require a lot more than store-bought peanut butter pretzels,” Schofield explained.
“I think people have seen for themselves who Meghan Markle is, and they don’t like her,” she continued. “On top of the real lack of authenticity, they’ve already made up their minds about her and don’t have the patience to be convinced otherwise.”
With Love, Meghan Season 1 currently streams on Netflix.
