George Clooney and Amal Clooney met in 2013 in Lake Como, Italy. One year later, the pair tied the knot in Venice. And in 2017, the Hollywood A-lister and human rights lawyer welcomed their twins, Alexander and Ella.

Now, George is opening up about his family life and marriage to Amal. But fans are buying what he’s selling.

What George says he and Amal have never done during their marriage

During a sit-down with CBS’ Gayle King to promote his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck, George talked about Amal and said they “never had an argument.”

“You still haven’t?” King broke in, to which the actor jokingly replied, “No, we’re trying to find something to fight about.”

George then added: “I think because I started so late with Amal … I feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman and I feel as if I hit the jackpot. There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not–I don’t think I’m the luckiest man in the world.”

Many fans don’t believe George’s claim

Many fans took to X.com after George’s “no argument” claim and said they don’t believe it.

“I call BS,” one user wrote.

“That’s not a healthy sign of a good marriage,” another opined.

“Perfect. That makes them more relatable. Said no one,” a third posted.

Others thought George may have said that to quiet down any chatter after Amal was noticeably absent from the premiere of Good Night, and Good Luck, saying his comments were to “deflect from the fact she was a no-show for this Broadway premiere.”

The star was asked where his wife was that evening and told reporters she was at home with their children.
