Fast Food Chain’s Social Media Post About Katy Perry: Funny or Foul?
Katy Perry was part of the All-Female Blue Origin historic launch to space. But there’s been some controversy since the ladies’ televised mission.
The “Firework” singer, along with Gayle King, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, Kerianne Flynn, and Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez, captured the attention of people all over the country when they blasted off on April 14. They also caught some criticism for their mission and sparked a debate about why and if they should have gone to space at all.
And even a well-known fast food chain decided to comment on the mission, but fans are divided about whether the restaurant’s post was funny or mean.
What Wendy’s posted after Perry’s went to space
Yes, Wendy’s went there by taking to X soon after Perry and the rest of the crew returned to Earth with the response: “Can we send her back?”
One person commented that what the restaurant posted made them want to “buy some Wendy’s now,” while another said: “Looks like there’s a Dave’s double in my future.”
But not everyone was a fan as some users fired back that the post was “just weird and unprofessional” and “this intern needs new jokes.”
Another singer took the opportunity to troll Perry
A fellow pop star who seemed to enjoy the post is Kesha.
Shortly after Wendy’s posted it, the “TikTok” artist shared a photo of herself smiling while drinking from a cup with the eatery’s logo on the front.
Kesha trolling Perry isn’t too surprising since the former has been upset with the “Dark Horse” hitmaker for continuing to work with Dr. Luke following Kesha’s lengthy legal battle with the producer.
Fans of both women were quick to respond to the shade and picked a side.
