‘Grown-ish’ Alum Trevor Jackson Is Joining the Cast of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’
From starring on Grown-ish to Grey’s Anatomy. Actor-singer Trevor Jackson, 28, is joining the cast of the famed ABC medical drama. Details on Jackson’s Grey’s casting—and when to look out for him on the show—ahead.
Trevor Jackson is joining the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ cast as a Seattle newbie
According to Deadline, Jackson has landed a sought-after new role on Grey’s Anatomy, which “was pursued by a number of young actors.” That means he’s returning to Disney after Grown-ish’s 2024 finale.
As for the part he’ll play on the Grey’s Anatomy cast, Jackson won’t be a patient but a doctor. Namely, “a handsome, intelligent, but arrogant man in his late 20s who has just moved to Seattle.”
Admittedly, the description sounds a lot like other doctors who have walked the fictional hospital’s halls. Ahem, McSteamy, aka Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane), or McDreamy’s Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).
Will Jackson’s character on Grey’s be a new surgical intern or resident? That’s unclear, per the outlet as both are a possibility in the wake of Midori Francis (Mika) and Jake Borelli’s (Levi) exits from the series.
Jackson will make his first appearance late in Season 21 of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’
Look out for Jackson on the show’s 2,117th episode. That’s the second-to-last episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 21, which is set to air on May 8, 2025. The American Crime alum is also expected to appear in the season finale episode.
Jackson’s time as a Grey’s Anatomy cast member may continue with him being bumped up to a series regular. However, per the outlet, that’s contingent upon the series being renewed for another season, which is “fully expected.”
