The team at Hallmark Channel is suiting up for another NFL-themed Christmas movie.

Last year, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story was Hallmark’s biggest holiday movie hit. The network is hoping for a repeat win in 2025 with Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.

Hallmark’s Chiefs-themed movie was the perfect fit for the company, which is headquartered in Kansas City. But this year, they’ll venture further afield with a story centered on one of the most storied franchises in the NFL: The Buffalo Bills.

Bills safety Damar Hamlin shared the news of the “early Christmas present” in a video posted on Hallmark Channel’s Instagram

“We have big news today,” he said. “Hallmark Channel and the NFL have selected the Buffalo Bills in the 2025 Countdown to Christmas movie draft. Stay tuned this holiday season for the all-new Hallmark Channel movie Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.”

“We’re so excited to celebrate our team, our fans – and a shout-out to Bills Mafia – and our shared love for football and Hallmark Christmas movies,” he added. “Go Bills!”

Fans think Chad Michael Murray is the perfect person to star in Hallmark’s Buffalo Bills movie

A Chiefs Love Story starred Hunter King as a member of a family of KC superfans who enter a contest sponsored by the team. That throws her in the path of Derrick (Tyler Hynes), the Chiefs’ new director of fan engagement. The movie also featured Ed Begley Jr. and Megyn Price, as well as cameo appearances from Donna Kelce, Chiefs coach Andy Reid, and several NFL players.

Which Hallmark actors will get the starring roles in A Bills Love Story? Casting hasn’t been announced, but some fans are lobbying for Andrew Walker, who received a scholarship to play football at Boston College before an injury ended his career. Others mentioned Sullivan’s Crossing and One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray, a Buffalo native and die-hard Bills fan. (Murray is co-producing an upcoming docuseries about the Bills, Just One Before I Die.) Both Murray and Walker have starred in multiple movies for Hallmark.

Production on Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story will begin later this year. Filming will take place in and around Buffalo, including at Highmark Stadium, home of the Bills.

“We were honored to be approached by Skydance Sports to participate in this amazing project that will showcase two powerful brands — Hallmark and the Buffalo Bills,” Bills COO Pete Guelli said in a statement. “This is just another example of how the Bills brand and our amazing fan base continues to grow across the sports and entertainment landscape. This is an incredible opportunity to feature Western New York and Bills Mafia on the Hallmark platform. It is a privilege to be part of this project, and we hope this film will be a hit during the holiday season!”
