Only one week after the debut of Meghan Markle‘s series With Love, Meghan, a jaw-dropping decision has been made regarding season 2 of the Netflix lifestyle hit. Has Meghan pulled a narrow save as her and Prince Harry’s Netflix contract ends, or is this the end of their road for their partnership with the streaming service?

Will Meghan Markle’s ‘With Love, Meghan’ be back for season 2?

Per a Netflix press release by Tudum, With Love, Meghan will return for season 2 later this fall. Furthermore, the season’s second installment has completed filming.

The announcement was made via an Instagram post shared on Meghan’s social media page. A video clip is captioned, “Oh, how I love ASMR! If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up in Season 2! Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”

ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) is a relaxing sensation that some people experience in response to certain sounds. Meghan shared a clip of all the sound-filled moments from season 1.

The first season of the lifestyle series consisted of eight half-hour episodes directed by Michael Steed. Celebrity guests included Mindy Kaling, chef Roy Choi, and Meghan’s former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

With Love, Meghan debuted on March 4, 2025. Montecito, California, was where it was filmed, where the Duchess of Sussex lives with Prince Harry and their kids, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

Why season 2 of ‘With Love, Meghan’ is good for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Season 2 of With Love, Meghan is significant to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as it’s the fifth project the couple has produced for Netflix. Thus, only one project gained traction, their tell-all series Harry & Meghan. Others such as PoloHeart of Invictus, and Live to Lead didn’t perform as expected.

With Love, Meghan is the Duchess of Sussex’s first solo hosting venture for the streamer. It came in on the tail end of a $100 million, five-year deal Meghan and Harry signed with Netflix in 2020.

An extension on their deal has likely been secured for the couple by the series’ success, although no details have been shared to that effect. Netflix’s confidence in the project and its potential to create revenue with a line of products connected to Meghan’s As Ever brand shows the company’s trust in Meghan.

They have not yet revealed details of any renewal. However, it appears pretty clear that the couple will continue working with the streamer for the foreseeable future.

This contract helps make Harry and Meghan bankable commodities in Hollywood. Harry hasn’t had his own Netflix hit as yet. However, the couple is still reportedly adapting Carley Fortune’s book Meet Me at the Lake for the streamer. Time will tell if Prince Harry’s next big role is as a Hollywood producer.

In season 2 of With Love, Meghan, Meghan Markle will likely piggyback on the format that made the first season of her Netflix series successful. A teaser hints at a continuation of season 1’s overall feel. Again, Meghan takes the helm in the kitchen and garden, sharing her cooking and lifestyle tips.

The series aims to blend Meghan’s lifestyle how-to’s with candid conversations. She will continue to roll up her sleeves in the kitchen and garden, and invite viewers to do the same.

In any event, following the pattern set by season 1, With Love, Meghan would air an additional eight 33-minute episodes. The network will air the newest installment of the lifestyle series this fall. They will announce a release date at a future time.
