Jennifer Lopez is booked and busy. Not only is she filming a movie (Office Romance), but the multihyphenate is now set to host the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs). Everything we know about J.Lo’s hosting duties, ahead.

Lopez is hosting the AMAs in May

On April 9, 2025, Dick Clark Productions announced that Lopez is hosting the 2025 American Music Awards (via Variety). The Monday, May 26, 2025, ceremony marks the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer’s second time hosting. (She previously hosted in 2015.)

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement. “Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick-off celebration of summer.”

The announcement comes after Lopez hinted at hosting the AMAs in the fall of 2024 during the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special.

Lopez is also performing at the American Music Awards

She will pull double duty at the 2025 AMAs. Not only will J.Lo emcee, but she’s also taking the stage as a performer. It’s something she’s very familiar with, having performed there 10 times.

Not to mention, she’s also the recipient of three AMAs. As for her performance, it will center around “her unparalleled artistry and signature mix of music, dance and visual spectacle.”

Watch the Las Vegas, Nev., ceremony live on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, on CBS and Paramount+ starting at 8 p.m. ET.
