Jennifer Lopez Reveals Which of Her Twins Is Most Like Her
Jennifer Lopez may have been given a $2.8 million gift after having twins, but for the actor, her twins were the greatest gift she could’ve received. Lopez has stepped out with her kids on more than a few occasions to show them off, and they’re the spitting image of her. However, only one of Lopez’s twins took after their mother in more than just looks.

Lopez didn’t know she’d end up having twins, although she did wonder if she manifested it somehow. In an interview on The Ellen Show, the talk show host mentioned that Lopez once said she only wanted two children. At the time, Lopez confided that she would’ve preferred them to be both a boy and a girl. It seemed the universe gave her exactly what she wanted when she gave birth to Emme and Max Muniz in 2008. She didn’t expect two kids at once. But in hindsight, Lopez figured she had the genetic potential for twins after remembering her cousins were twins as well.
But as the Hustlers star’s kids grew, they couldn’t have turned out anymore different from each other. However, Lopez’s daughter, Emme, proved to be more like her mother than even Lopez initially thought. The revelation came when the singer directed the music video for her song “Limitless,” which is featured in her 2018 movie Second Act. Although she didn’t want to initially, Lopez ended up putting Emme in the video. The prodigy’s natural rhythm showed Lopez that she might have a future in entertainment after all.
“It was the most beautiful experience on set I’ve ever had in my life,” she told Harper’s Bazaar about working with her daughter. “I was terrified to have her do it because I don’t want to push her. But it turned into a really great bonding experience for both of us. I don’t know if she’ll follow in my footsteps, but she definitely has the genes. She’s a natural. Some people, you put them out there and you can just tell. She’s a little me.”
On the other hand, it seems that her son, Max, might have already decided to follow in his own footsteps instead of his famous family’s. According to his father Marc Anthony, Max prefers a life far outside the limelight.
“Max is a very quiet, introspective soul, and Emme is a lot like her mom, a performer at heart. She’s already singing and dancing around the house, and it’s amazing to watch,” Anthony said in an interview with ET (via Hello!).
How Jennifer Lopez has gotten both of her kids involved in her work
It’s still unclear if Lopez’s kids will end up being in the same business as her. But the Maid in Manhattan star has already given them some experience in the industry. In addition to having Emme perform in “Limitless,” Lopez also occasionally turns to the kids for some career advice.
“I think kids are like kind of wrapped up in their own lives a bit, but if you ask them, they will give you their honest opinion about everything, you know what I mean?” Lopez once told E! News. “They’re ready to be brutally honest with you at times.”
Lopez further asserted that her kids can sometimes help her see her work from another angle.
“I like my kids to see my work and know what I’m doing,” she said. “And I’ll share certain things with them and say, ‘What do you think of this?’ or, ‘What do you think of that?’ And they always have an interesting perspective, because they’re from a different generation.”
As brutally honest as they could be, however, Lopez seems to consider sharing her work with her kids a huge benefit.
“It’s really always additive as far as I’m concerned,” she added. “I always have such joy from hearing their thoughts and what they think about things.”
Given that Lopez credited her kids for saving her, it’s clear why she’s comfortable turning to them for advice.
