Jim Bob Duggar’s $1 Million Home Purchase is Very Different From Past Acquisitions
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are not strangers to property acquisitions. While the duo made millions from TLC thanks to their supersize family, they also spent their TV money expanding their real estate empire. The couple owns a variety of both commercial and rental properties. Jim Bob has been interested in flipping real estate for decades, so it shouldn’t be a huge shock that the father of 19 recently acquired another house. This purchase, however, feels different. Not only is the price tag astronomical, according to Arkansas standards, but it’s not dilapidated or abandoned, which are common in properties the Duggar family picks up for cheap. Family followers think it may have been purchased for Anna Duggar.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar purchased a $1 million home
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar recently made millions on a real estate deal with Walmart, and from the sounds of it, they’re injecting their newfound wealth right back into the market. Following the massive deal with Walmart, the family purchased a 6,000-square-foot home on 10 acres of land in Fayetteville, Arkansas. According to In Touch Weekly, Shiloh Warehouse Space LLC, one of Jim Bob’s limited liability companies, bought the house. He has filed paperwork for dozens of LLCs over the years.
The home was purchased for around $1 million and isn’t even two decades old. Luxury touches adorn the space and will likely be appreciated by whichever Duggar gets to call it home. Family followers are convinced Anna Duggar will be moving into the space, but there is no indication of who will call it home just yet.
The buy is markedly different from past acquisitions, including houses he handed over to his children when they first married. The homes gifted to the Duggar kids were often bought on the cheap, in desperate need of repairs, and gifted as fixer-uppers. Justin Duggar, for example, was gifted one such property. Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth were given a home for $10. Jessa and Ben Seewald also moved into a small, family-owned house when they first wed. This property is sprawling and move-in ready, which is a deviation from the norm.
Why does everyone assume Anna Duggar is moving in?
News of Jim Bob’s newest real estate deal has Duggar family followers discussing who might be moving into the property. After all, Jim Bob has a habit of gifting his favorite children homes, but followers are convinced it is Anna Duggar and her seven kids who will benefit from the newest real estate deal.
While there is no concrete evidence that she’ll call the space home, some clues point in that direction. Anna has the most children right now; therefore, she needs the most space. She’s also been without a home of her own for years. With her husband locked away for several more years and a growing interest in spending time with her own family, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar may be trying to “sweeten” the deal with a home of her own to keep her close. It could keep her in Arkansas, at the very least.
Anna shocked the world when she opted not to file for divorce after Josh was convicted of possessing and receiving child sexual abuse images. Not only did she not divorce him, but she actively defended him on social media. She has since deactivated her public profiles. It is unclear where she’s been staying since his 2021 trial. Still, she, her children, and Josh previously resided in a warehouse on the Duggars’ property. It is likely she’s been living under Jim Bob’s thumb the entire time.
