Katy Perry’s 11-minute voyage to space with Blue Origin didn’t sit well with a lot of people. Following her return from space, Perry was roasted on social media. The pop star might have anticipated some backlash, but she probably didn’t expect other celebrities and Wendy’s. That’s exactly what happened, though.

Wendy’s roasts Katy Perry and Blue Origin

Katy Perry might have been out of this world, but critics think she was out of her mind if she thought she wouldn’t be criticized for the flight. Critics have long suggested that leisure flights to space are ridiculous and used by the rich and powerful to flaunt their wealth.

Perry’s return from space garnered comments from Olivia Wilde and other celebrities. Brands even got in on the action. Wendy’s social media team took some time to comment on the flight, too. Their comments focused primarily on Perry. The burger chain, which has become famous for its online clapbacks, made several jokes at Perry’s expense. One tweet asked if she could be sent back to space. Another post poked fun at Perry’s post-flight reaction.

The fast food purveyor’s comments didn’t sit well with everyone. Some people think they crossed a line, claim insiders. Perry and the other women who took the flight are reportedly upset.

Lauren Sanchez is reportedly so bothered that she wants to prove to the haters that the flights aren’t just a leisure activity. Sanchez, Jeff Bezos’s fiancée, was another passenger on the much-criticized flight. She won’t be letting Wendy’s get away with their quips unanswered. According to Page Six, Sanchez said she’d like to bring critics to Blue Origin headquarters so they could discover, for themselves, the type of work being done and the people working at the aerospace company.
