The Legally Blonde prequel series, Elle, continues to take shape with three new additions to the cast. Find out who they are, what roles they’re playing, plus more about the upcoming TV show, ahead.

Zac Looker, Jessica Belkin, and Logan Shroyer join the ‘Elle’ cast

Before Reese Witherspoon’s iconic character, Elle Woods, went to Harvard Law School, she had to make it through high school. That’s where Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Elle prequel comes in. It follows high school-aged Elle in her pre-college and law school days.

Joining Lexi Minetree as teenage Elle are Zac Looker (Geek Girl), Jessica Belkin (American Horror Story: Hotel), and Logan Shroyer (This is Us), per Deadline. Looker joins the cast as a series regular, playing Dustin, whom the publication described as “Elle’s classmate and sparring partner who cares about social justice and isn’t afraid to challenge authority.”

Belkin and Shroyer join the Elle cast in recurring roles. The former plays Elle’s best friend, Madison. (Fingers crossed for some quote-worthy dialogue between the two besties.) The latter plays Madison’s cousin—and Elle’s crush—Josh. (Remember Elle is still years away from meeting Warner Huntington III (Matthew Davis) and her eventual husband, Emmett Richmond (Luke Wilson).

Previously announced Elle cast members—besides Minetree—include June Diane Raphael (Grace and Frankie) as Elle’s mom, Eva, and Tom Everett Scott (The Summer I Turned Pretty) as Elle’s dad, Wyatt. Additional cast members also include Gabrielle Policano (Babygirl) as Liz, Jacob Moskovitz (Y2K) as Miles, and Chandler Kinney (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) as Kimberly.

Production on ‘Elle’ is currently underway

Just days before the announcement, Witherspoon revealed that Elle is in production, per ABC. “Harvard was hard. High School was harder,” she wrote in the caption alongside a first-look photo of Minetree as Elle. “Our new series, Elle, is now in production! Couldn’t be more excited to introduce you all to @leximinetree as Elle Woods,” she added alongside heart emojis.

Witherspoon is executive producing the project, which is produced by Hello Sunshine and MGM Studios. At the time of writing, Elle doesn’t have a premiere date.
