Lindsey Vonn has been called “grandma” by a teammate on the U.S. ski team. But the gorgeous athlete looks anything but old. At 40, Vonn is pursuing the Olympics one more time and taking Paris Fashion Week by storm. The 4-time World Cup champion stepped out in one of her sexiest looks yet at the Gabriela Hearst runway show.

On Monday, Lindsey Vonn entered Palais De Tokyo alongside several celebs, sitting front row with businesswoman and philanthropist Kelly Sawyer and actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba. Other VIP guests included Baby Reindeer star Jessica Gunning, Younger‘s Debi Mazar, and theater producer Jordan Roth. Prior to the event, Vonn shared a sneak peek of her day on Instagram, showing her process of getting ready and time spent with friends Olivia Culpo and Stephanie Simon.

Lindsey Vonn turned heads in a chic Gabriela Hearst gown as she arrived at the Uruguayan-American designer’s Fall/Winter 2025-26 show. The ivory piece showed off her hard-earned figure with a built-in cape revealing subtle cut-outs at her ribcage. The Olympic gold medalist wore the knit dress with a tassled black clutch and pointed-toe heels. She styled her blonde hair into loose waves, keeping her makeup clean with a subtle smokey eye.

Vonn attended Paris Fashion Week one day after her interview with CBS News, where she defended her comeback. In 2019, Vonn retired from competitive skiing after winning a bronze medal in the women’s downhill at the World Championships. A knee injury continued to set her back, resulting in a total knee replacement in early 2024. When Vonn realized she had a chance to ski again, this time with a titanium knee, she announced her un-retirement and hopes of making it to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Vonn told CBS News that the public’s negative reaction surprised her. “What I didn’t expect was people to criticize me as a person and why I’m doing it, and that I can’t handle life outside of ski racing,” she explained.

The Minnesota native has received feedback that she’s too old and slow. She’s been told that she needs to make room for younger skiers and that they don’t believe in her. However, Vonn believes in herself. “It’s not like I’m preparing for another ten years of my skiing career,” she stated. “I’m just preparing for one year, for literally two races.”

Vonn has rejoined the U.S. ski team in her efforts to return to form. She’s focusing on training smarter, not harder. However, she does admit that she’s at a disadvantage. “I am 40, and at that time next year, I will be 41,” she told CBS News. “But I know my skiing is there. I think I’m actually skiing better now than I was last few years of my career.” Despite a girl on the ski team calling her grandma, which Vonn doesn’t “appreciate,” she is ready to prove everyone wrong and look damn good doing it.
