Probably the last person in the world Meghan Markle wants to be compared to is President Donald Trump, but that’s exactly what a royal expert is doing and even claiming that the duchess is copying Trump.

This comes after the former Suits star launched her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, on April 8 via Lemonada Media. So what does her podcast, which focuses on “insights from a handful of amazing women” and “fly-on-the-wall conversations” to “inspire” others, have to do with Trump?

Expert says fame-hungry Meghan is ‘copying’ Trump

Why in the world would anyone think Meghan is trying to copy Trump? Well, according to royal expert Mark Borkowski, Meghan is like the U.S. president in the sense that she wants everyone to like her and think she’s great. He also opined that she’ll do anything to try and stay in the spotlight and wants the world to be “obsessed” with her.

Borkowski told The Sun, her podcast shows that Meghan appears “desperate” to be liked by the world and added: “One could argue that’s a major success because, you know, it keeps her in this sort of public gaze and keeps the global media obsessed about her story.

“Whether it’s the President of the United States or Meghan Markle, it is all about noise now. But you know, what are the cut-through messages — and I don’t think we’ve seen that with Meghan at the moment because everything seems to be the next thing that’s thrown against the wall hoping it will stick.”

The expert continued: “Any large personality can generate a huge Instagram following. But how do you stop being boring? What did Trump say? Everybody needs a little crazy. The problem is about staying, not just staying at the top but remaining famous, but also dealing with that fame in a highly cruel and critical world.”

Trump and Meghan’s feud goes back years

Before Trump became president the first time around, Meghan met him when she was working on the game show Deal or No Deal as one of the briefcase models.

Meghan’s friend, Tameka Jacobs, relayed a story that Trump visited the set of the show in 2006 and was “giving girls his card and inviting them to play golf at one of his courses.” The future duchess though, reportedly denied his proposal because she found the property tycoon “creepy.”

Years later, during his 2016 campaign, Meghan made no secret of her feelings about Trump, publicly calling him “misogynistic” and “divisive.”

After being elected and told what Prince Harry’s wife had said about him, Trump called her “nasty.” He then denied that comment despite an audio recording of him saying it.

He later told reporters, “I’m not a fan of hers. I would say this and she’s probably heard that. But I wish a lot of luck to Harry. He’s gonna need it.”

After winning the election for his second term and questions about whether he would be willing to deport the Duke of Sussex if he lied on his visa application, Trump declared that he would not because the prince “had enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
