It appears the royal family is blissfully unaware of Meghan Markle‘s new Netflix series, says a pal of Queen Camilla. Thus, they’re reportedly not “even noticing” that she has a new lifestyle project on the streaming service.

To ITV This Morning (via GB News), Queen Camilla’s longtime pal, TV personality Gyles Brandreth, shared that the royals are reportedly not concerned about With Love, Meghan. The outlet wrote, “When asked if the royal family were ‘worried’ about the Duchess of Sussex’s new venture, Brandreth bluntly replied: ‘I don’t think they’re even noticing it.'”

He added, “You’re not going to be seeing royals behind the scenes. You’re going to be seeing a very glossy, delightful lifestyle program made by Americans starring Meghan. She is already an American television star.”

With Love, Meghan consists of eight episodes in total. The series debuted on Netflix on March 4, 2025.

In the last episode, Meghan closed the series with a statement of thanks to her friends and Prince Harry. She toasted the group for their friendship and affection.

“I just want to raise a glass to you guys. This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I’m able to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you. So I just thank you for all the love and support,” Meghan began.

She continued, “And here we go, there’s a business! All of that is part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much, so thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.”

That last statement indirectly referenced Meghan’s time as a royal family member. While working for the House of Windsor, Meghan had to give up any outside pursuits. With the debut of her lifestyle series and As Ever brand, Meghan seems to be reclaiming a part of herself put aside since 2017 when she shut down her website The Tig and personal Instagram page.

What does this mean for Meghan and Harry’s Netflix deal?

If Netflix’s With Love, Meghan is successful, it could have a positive impact on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s overall Netflix deal. The couple could get the boost they need after several series that didn’t perform as expected including Polo, Heart of Invictus, and Live to Lead.

The couple could increase their Hollywood credibility if Meghan’s lifestyle show is successful. With Love, Meghan could rehabilitate Meghan’s image in the media and open the doors for more opportunities.

A success would reinforce their value with Netflix. The company would likely want to extend its partnership with the couple beyond their initial five-year, $100 million deal.

Plus, a successful series would give Harry and Meghan more leverage with the streaming service if they renegotiate their contract or if they wish to secure new deals with other streaming platforms or networks.
