Miranda Lambert’s Ex Went off on ‘Arrogant’ Blake Shelton for a Shady Social Media Post
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton divorced in 2015. In the years since, their relationship has reportedly been rocky at best. While they don’t speak about each other all that often, Shelton once posted a message on social media that seemed to take a shot at his ex-wife. Her former fiancé didn’t appreciate the sentiment.
Miranda Lambert’s ex-fiancé went after Blake Shelton for one of his tweets
In 2018, Lambert became involved with singer Evan Felker. He was married at the time. Shelton appeared to reference the relationship in a vague tweet.
“Been taking the high road for a long time … I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!”

Lambert’s ex, Jeff Allen, responded to Shelton’s tweet. He was with Lambert when she met Shelton, and he accused them both of infidelity.
“You know, I’ve always given you the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to just being human,” he wrote (via Us Weekly). “But you must be one arrogant SOB to pop off something like this, when I know damn good and well you were cheating on your wife and Miranda was cheating on me when you two started up.”
Allen added that it bothered him to see Shelton’s post about “karma” given his relationship history.
“I kept my mouth shut for 13 years,” he wrote. “Sorry, his karma tweet rubbed me wrong. All of this is pointless.”
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton met while she was with Allen
When Shelton and Lambert met, he was married and she was engaged. Their relationships did nothing to prevent sparks from flying between them. Shelton said he began to fall for her as they sang “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” together at a CMT event.
“I’ve never had that kind of experience with anybody,” Shelton said, per Entertainment Weekly. “I was a married guy, you know? Standing up there and singing with somebody and going, ‘Man, this shouldn’t be happening.’ Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, right there on stage.”
Lambert echoed this sentiment.
“It was just like this draw to each other,” she said. “It was just sort of this inevitable chemistry.”
She said the public reaction to her divorce was difficult to handle
When Shelton and Lambert announced their divorce in 2015, their fans were shocked. Lambert said the massive public reaction to her love life was difficult to handle.
“I wasn’t prepared for that,” she told CBS News in 2022, adding, “Well, I don’t think anyone is. And it’s not nice sometimes. But I think you got to take it with a grain of salt and know that, like, I’m a singer-songwriter, so luckily I can tell my whole truth. I will not lie in my music.”

She believed she’d grown up since her divorce, and felt happier in her new relationship with husband Brendan McLoughlin.
“I’ve also grown up, and I’ve learned a lot about myself,” she said. “And I think at some point, you just start to settle into who you are. And I think that’s why you feel that, like, peace coming from me, ’cause I feel at peace with myself.”
