Most of the ‘Sister Wives’ Stars Have Side Hustles
Sister Wives has been on the air since 2010. The Brown family is preparing to wrap up its 19th season, and while TLC hasn’t revealed whether a 20th season is in the cards, fans think the series will wrap up sooner rather than later. The Brown family isn’t sure how long it will last either. Thankfully, Kody Brown’s ex-wives have all created side businesses while appearing on Sister Wives. His current wife has not done the same.
Christine Brown has several streams of income
Christine Brown became famous thanks to a reality TV show about polygamy. She left the practice behind now and is focused on monogamy. While she isn’t sharing her man with multiple women, she has diversified her income streams. Outside of Sister Wives, Christine is heavily involved in Plexus, an MLM that sells nutritional supplements as a side business. She was previously attached to LuLaRoe.

Since marrying David Woolley, she’s also decided to get into the investment property game. David and Christine, who wed in October 2023, have multiple short-term rental properties. The mother of six has also parlayed her celebrity into a book deal. Her memoir will be released in September 2025. In short, Christine has turned her side businesses into serious moneymakers.
Janelle Brown is launching a new business
Janelle Brown, who was advertised as the “financially savvy” member of the Brown family, admitted that she left her spiritual marriage to Kody Brown with almost nothing. By the time she left Kody behind, she only owned a portion of the acreage the Brown family bought together. She has since changed directions and has found a way to earn more as a single woman.

While Janelle didn’t run a lot of side businesses while she was married, her spiritual divorce has motivated her to earn more cash. The mother of six is involved in Plexus, along with Christine Brown, but she’s also launching a small business. Janelle, along with her daughter and son-in-law, Maddie and Caleb Brush, announced Taeda Farms in April 2024 and have been working on getting the fresh-cut flower business off the ground. In an Instagram comment, Janelle revealed that they are aiming for a Summer 2025 grand opening. In the meantime, she’s been selling t-shirts with some of her best sayings on them as a side business, much to the delight of Sister Wives fans.
Meri Brown has been pretty industrious
Meri Brown has gone through a metamorphosis on Sister Wives. Her entire persona has changed, but her work ethic has stayed the same. Meri always appeared to be the Sister Wives cast member with the most interest in a side business. She has many.

Outside of Sister Wives, Meri owns and operates Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. While the small bed and breakfast isn’t offering rooms at the moment due to renovations, it is available for events. Meri also runs a successful LuLaRoe business. She joined the MLM years ago and has been a top performer several times. More recently, she launched Worthy Up, a subscription-based “empowerment” group.
Robyn Brown doesn’t have a side hustle, but Kody does
Robyn Brown, the most hated of the Sister Wives cast, has no known side hustles at the moment. Her ill-received jewelry business appears inactive. In fact, the mother of five appears to prefer spending money rather than making it. Kody Brown’s last remaining wife made headlines recently when Sister Wives fans uncovered her Etsy buyer profile. According to several Reddit users, Robyn spent thousands on dolls and doll clothing, while Kody claimed financial hardship on the show. The profile has since been made private.

While Robyn doesn’t have a side hustle, Kody Brown reportedly does. According to his son, Paedon Brown, Kody works in the firearms industry but doesn’t mention it on the show. The revelation didn’t come as a big surprise to fans, though. Kody has been spotted as a seller at several gun shows over the years. It is unclear if Kody’s side hustle is enough to keep Robyn Brown in doll clothes, though.
