Who Is the Mother of Memphis Grizzles Star Ja Morant’s Daughter?
Ja Morant was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2020 and in 2022, made his first All-Star team. He later won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award and has become one of the most electrifying stars in the league.

Who is Kaari’s mom KK Dixon?
Kadre Dixon, better known as KK Dixon, hails from Arkansas. She was born in August 1999 to parents DeShannon and Christal. Dixon has two siblings, Tyrik and BrayLee.
Her elder brother, Tyrik, plays basketball for Missouri State University and Dixon is an athlete herself. After graduating from high school, she attended Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she played volleyball and basketball.
Today, she is the founder and CEO of Dixon Brands LLC. The company’s motto is: “To empower, inspire, and ignite individuals to discover and pursue their passions by fostering meaningful connections and providing essential resources. “
Dixon has also authored a children’s book titled Kaari & Kree’s Ultimate Coloring & Activity Book.
Morant spoke about the toughest part of his job when he’s on the road away from Kaari
Dixon and Morant began dating in 2017 and on Aug. 7, 2019, they welcomed their daughter.
Kaari was born two months early due to Dixon suffering from pre-eclampsia, which is a condition in pregnant women that can include high blood pressure, sometimes with fluid retention and proteinuria.
Although the couple ended up splitting in 2023, they have continued to co-parent Kaari together and share joint custody, which is why being away from his little one is the hardest part of Morant’s job.
He recalled one of the toughest times was in 2020 when he was stuck in the “NBA bubble” during COVID-19 and missed Kaari’s first birthday.
After a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he told ESPN: “It was probably one of the toughest days of my life, not being able to be at my daughter’s first birthday party. It was kind of tough, but I think the gift I gave her today was a win. Hopefully, she’s thankful for that and all the gifts back at the house.”
Is Morant dating anyone now?
Since he and Dixon called it quits, Morant has been linked to a couple of different women.
In 2022, there were reports that the basketball star was romantically involved with Brooklyn Nikole, who is rapper Latto’s older sister, after they were spotted out together in public.
There was also chatter that Morant was dating TV star and Drake’s ex, Johanna Leia.
However, neither Morant nor either of the ladies ever confirmed those rumors, and it’s believed that he is currently single.
