Members of the royal family aren’t strangers to seeing their names attached to odd reports and wild rumors. While the family very rarely responds to such claims keeping with the “never complain, never explain” mantra, Prince Harry let go of that protocol when he stepped down and left the U.K.

In his memoir Spare, the Duke of Sussex got a few things off his chest and addressed those old rumors that he is not the child of King Charles but one of Princess Diana’s former lovers, James Hewitt. Harry pointed out that Hewitt could not be his father because the timeline of when he was born and when his mother began having an affair with him did not add up. But the prince did not comment on the man who claims he is Harry’s half-brother.

That man is insisting that he and the Duke of Sussex have a “bond” now that Harry is away from the Palace.

Who is Prince Harry’s alleged half-brother?

A man named Simon Dorante-Day has claimed for years that he is the son of King Charles and Queen Camilla. He says that he was conceived when they were first together, years before Charles met Princess Diana and therefore he is the “true” Prince of Wales and heir to the throne.

Express noted that Dorante-Day was adopted when he was 18 months old and says his adoptive grandmother worked for the late Queen Elizabeth II and told him that he was Charles and Camilla’s son.

“I was very close to my grandmother and she told me many times that I was Camilla and Charles’ child,” Dorante-Day alleged. “She didn’t just hint at it, she told me outright.”

There is one major problem with his story, though. He was born in 1966, so his timeline for Charles and Camilla actually being his biological parents is off since the pair didn’t meet until the early 1970s. Still, Dorante-Day is convinced that he is their child and that one day a DNA test will prove that.

In an interview with Australia’s Channel Seven, Dorante-Day explained that he and Prince Harry have a “bond” as the “black sheep of the royal family” and added, “I believe Harry would be receptive to my plight. He got f***** over by his dad, he has a bone to pick with Charles. Just like I do.”

Dorante-Day sees similarities between his wife and Meghan and wants to ‘hug’ the duchess

Dorante-Day spoke about his desire to meet Meghan as well and wishes that he could “hug her.”

He also sees similarities between the Duchess of Sussex and his indigenous wife saying: “When people say he looks very nervous and jumpy, I understand where Harry is coming from with that. I can tell that he’s worried about someone attacking Meghan and saying something that will force her to react. My wife is the same, so I can relate.

“My advice for Harry is to let her go, to let Meghan say what she wants to say. People have been racist and insensitive to Meghan, she should give it back to critics without people looking down on her … People are so ignorant.”
