Savannah Chrisley Blames Robert Shriver Breakup on His Wife Lindsay: ‘Didn’t Want Me in the Picture’
Reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley’s two-year relationship with Robert Shriver is over, and she says there’s one person to blame for the split: his estranged wife, Lindsay Shriver.
“I don’t want to give her the notoriety that she has so badly been seeking but I feel like that’s the only way to go,” Savannah said during the April 15 episode of her Unlocked podcast. “I don’t think I will ever forgive her for what she has put Robert and the boys through. I don’t believe that Robert and I would be where we were at today if she wouldn’t have caused so much mass destruction.”
Robert Shriver’s estranged wife Lindsay Shriver is accused of plotting his murder
Lindsay is accused of plotting with her boyfriend and another man to have her husband murdered during a family vacation to the Bahamas with their three children in 2023. She and Robert were in the midst of an acrimonious divorce, but Lindsay — who has pleaded not guilty — has denied the existence of any murder plot. She is currently out on bail, with a trial set for August.
Savannah connected with Robert after his wife’s arrest. She stood by his side through his messy and ongoing divorce process, she said on her podcast, while also trying to be a stable and loving influence to his three boys. But Lindsay was intent on maximing the damage she could do to her husband.
“She absolutely destroyed a great man,” the former Chrisley Knows Best star said.
‘Chrisley Knows Best’ star Savannah Chrisley says she and Robert had a ‘great’ relationship before Lindsay started causing problems
Savannah said her and Robert’s relationship was “great” when Lindsay was still behind bars in the Bahamas. “There was no drama,” she said. But once her boyfriend’s ex was released from jail and returned to the U.S., the problems started.
“Not only did she come back, but the chaos came back with her,” Savannah said. “It’s like she wanted to destroy everything in his path, her path, everyone. There was never any sense of care for another individual other than herself.”
The Special Forces cast member accused Lindsay of calling the tabloids on her and Robert and generally doing everything she could to come between her and Robert.
“She didn’t want me in the picture,” she said. “There was a time to where she tried to get the courts to say I wasn’t allowed around the children.”
“I just, I will never understand being the victim in circumstances you created,” Savannah – who has been fighting to get her incarcerated parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, released from prison – continued. “It sucks. It really, really sucks. When she was in the Bahamas life was good. When she came back to the U.S., it was turmoil.
Lindsay’s chaotic behavoir was ultimately “too much for Robert to handle.”
“So she got what she wanted,” Savannah said. “You got what you wanted. It’s that simple. You once again destroyed another thing in your life and other people’s lives.”
