Savannah Chrisley Says She’ll Be ‘Single For a While’ After Robert Shriver Breakup
Savannah Chrisley isn’t rushing into another relationship. The ex-Chrisley Knows Best star recently revealed that she’d broked up with Robert Shriver, her boyfriend of two years. Since the split, she’d dipped her toe into the dating pool. But so far, she hasn’t really connected with anyone – and she’s OK with that.
Savannah Chrisley says dating ‘hasn’t done anything for me’
Savannah recently opened up about the end of her relationship with Robert, which she blamed on meddling from his estranged wife Lindsay.
The unexpected breakup left the Special Forces alum reeling, she confessed.
“This whole thing sucks,” she said in the April 15 episode of her Unlocked podcast. “It really does. I’ve been so heartbroken, trying to figure out how I get through to the other side of it. But it did make me feel good to make me feel like there will be light at the end of this heartbreak.”
In the podcast, Savannah opened up about Robert’s ex Lindsay, who is currently awaiting trial on charges that she plotted to murder her estranged spouse while on a family trip to the Bahamas. When Lindsay got out on bail, she made it her mission to destroy Savannah and Robert’s relationship, Savannah claimed.
“Not only did she come back, but the chaos came back with her,” she said. “It’s like she wanted to destroy everything in his path, her path, everyone. There was never any sense of care for another individual other than herself.”
Reality star’s friends are urging her to start dating again
Despite her painful breakup, Savannah said her friends are urging her to put herself out there.
“All my friends are like, ‘Get back in the dating world. Just go have a drink with someone,’” she shared.
“I have,” Savannah went on to say. “But it hasn’t done anything for me.”
“I feel like I just need to be alone for a little while,” she said. “I mean, it’s been a month and a half. And I’m still trying to go through the motions.”
Ex-’Chrisley Knows Best’ star says she needs to focus on freeing her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley
While Savannah isn’t seriously dating, she said she did have a bit of a spark with one person, which “renewed my hope in my future.” But she’s not looking to add romance to her already full plate.
“I’m going to be single for a little while,” she said. “I need that. I want to focus on my work.”
That work includes a new reality show that she’s been teasing, as well as her ongoing efforts to get her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, released from federal prison. At the end of the podcast, she hinted that lawers had uncovered evidence of “prosecutorial misconduct,” which could affect her parents’ appeals.
“I want to focus on filming this new show, real estate, getting mom and dad home,” Savannah said. “There’s so many things I want to do. So, I need to be single.”
