Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ reputation has certainly suffered over the last year. It started when footage of him physically abusing ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura went viral. Then, in 2024, he was arrested on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Now, as Diddy sits in jail awaiting that trial, more claims are being made.

The claims made are not in the form of additional charges, but rather allegations that were released in an unsealed indictment on March 6. They suggest Diddy forced former employees to work long hours or face the threat of harm; there was even a claim that one person was forced to perform sex acts, or they would be harmed.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs now faces forced labor accusations

Throughout Diddy’s decades-long career, he’s hired countless employees. But the recent claims suggest he didn’t always treat them with respect. According to ABC, the unsealed indictment alleges that some of Combs’ employees were forced “to work long hours with little sleep.” The methods of force allegedly included withholding compensation, psychological harm, and the use of physical force. Plus, threats were allegedly made to the employees’ reputations.

The second superseding indictment contained similar allegations, saying that Combs “caused these employees to believe they would be harmed — including by losing their jobs — if they did not comply with his demands,” It continued, “With respect to one employee, Combs used physical force, psychological harm, financial harm and reputational harm, and /or threats of the same to cause the employee to engage in sex acts with Combs.”

Thus far, Combs has denied any and all allegations stemming from his September 2024 arrest. His trial is set to begin in May.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs doesn’t have many people on his side

Combs’ children are some of the only people who have stuck by him through the arrest. Most celebrities and former friends have completely cut ties with the mogul, with his longtime friend Jay-Z going so far as to completely deny that he was ever close to Diddy.

Suge Knight, a years-long rival of Diddy’s, said on his podcast that Diddy’s life could be “in danger” due to potential secrets that Diddy might know about celebrities who were involved in his rumored freak off parties. Rapper Ray J revealed to TMZ that he’s heard rumors of celebrities trying to pay off Diddy’s alleged victims in order to not have their own names brought up. Diddy’s trial will likely reveal what really went on behind closed doors during those parties.
