‘Sister Wives’: Robyn Brown Claims ‘Jumping to Conclusions’ Led to the Downfall of the Brown Family
It has been over two years since Kody Brown’s last plural marriage officially ended. It has been over four years since Christine Brown started the trend and left Kody Brown first. Still, Sister Wives is exploring what went wrong. Robyn Brown is the latest family member to weigh in on what she thinks “caused” the plural family to unravel.
Robyn Brown discusses the end of her polygamist dream in ‘Sister Wives’ opener
Kody’s current wife has some thoughts about the end of his three plural marriages. Robyn Brown, Kody’s only remaining wife, sat down during episode 21 of Sister Wives’ 19th season to share her opinions. In a confessional, Robyn suggested that the wives’ “jumping to conclusions” and “name-calling” led to the end of their plural partnership. She said it was sad how little “trust” there was in the family.
While Kody’s other wives rarely agreed with Robyn Brown during the course of their plural partnership, they seemed to be on the same page when it came to not trusting each other. Christine Brown previously noted that while Robyn never offered her friendship, she wouldn’t have welcomed it anyway, as she didn’t trust her.
Her introduction into the family is blamed for its breakdown
Robyn Brown joined the Brown family in 2010 as Kody Brown’s fourth wife. While the original three wives initially suggested they were thrilled to have another wife come on board, it is evident, looking back, that the addition of Robyn upset a delicate balance. She was not enthusiastically welcomed into the fold, which likely led to bigger issues down the road.

Kody’s legal divorce from Meri Brown to marry Robyn is seen mainly as the “beginning of the end” for fans who watched the family’s journey unfold on Sister Wives. In 2014, the family announced they would “legally restructure” the family so Kody could adopt Robyn’s three children. Janelle Brown expressed concern about the change. Things further fell apart in 2018 when they moved from Las Vegas to Flagstaff, Arizona.
Once in Flagstaff, Kody focused all his attention on Robyn, leaving his other wives and the children he shares with them to fend for themselves. In 2021, Christine Brown gave up, ending her marriage and moving to Utah. In 2022, Janelle Brown called it quits, too. She has since moved to North Carolina. She is working on launching a business. In January 2023, Meri Brown announced her split from Kody. She returned to Utah and sought a “spiritual divorce” from the church the family once belonged to. It was granted.

Robyn Brown is Kody’s only wife, and it looks like that’s the way it will stay. While Robyn has made some noise about living a polygamist lifestyle, no new love interest has been introduced. Kody seems satisfied with his “true love.”
