Tamron Hall Detected Tension Between Meri and Robyn Years Ago
Tamron Hall spent just four seasons asking the Brown family some tough questions. Her time as the host of the Sister Wives Tell-All specials ended a decade ago. Still, some members of the family made a lasting impression. Hall recently revealed that she sensed a lot of tension between Meri Brown and Robyn Brown.
Tamron Hall detected tension between Meri and Robyn Brown
Meri Brown’s tense relationship with Janelle Brown was mentioned multiple times in Sister Wives. There is no love lost between Meri and Christine either, and everyone but Kody dislikes Robyn. Most of the Browns didn’t like each other by the end of their time together. Still, Tamron Hall saw something different early on. The talk show host welcomed Meri Brown to her show recently. During their chat, Hall revealed that she always detected a lot of tension between Meri and Robyn, especially when Meri was the “legal” wife. Meri confirmed that Hall’s perception was correct.
Meri Brown spent years attempting to be friendly with Robyn Brown, much to the dismay of Sister Wives fans, who largely saw Kody’s fourth wife as manipulative and problematic. Meri has since stepped away from the “friendship” and is seeing things more clearly. Janelle Brown and Christine Brown, who left Kody in 2022 and 2021, respectively, have had some harsh words for Robyn, too.
Why did Tamron Hall stop hosting the ‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All episodes?
Tamron Hall hosted TLC’s Sister Wives tell-all specials for four seasons, often asking challenging questions to the group. Her tenure was marked by candid conversations and probing questions that delved into the complexities of the Brown family’s polygamous dynamics and the tension that, at that point, was boiling just below the surface. Fans praised Hall’s dedication to asking hard questions and have bemoaned the surface-level questions asked in more recent tell-all specials.

Her direct questioning style, familiarity with the source material, and keen eye reportedly led to tension with Kody and Robyn. In particular, Hall’s inquiry into Kody’s legal divorce from Meri to marry Robyn and adopt her children was said to have caused discomfort. Subsequently, Hall was informed that she would not be returning as host. She said she was told she was “not to come back” due to some individuals finding her questions too challenging.
During her appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, Meri Brown confirmed that the discomfort of some Brown family members led to Hall’s dismissal. Meri noted that “some people” don’t want to be held “accountable.”
