‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ star Cheyenne Floyd says she and Zach Davis are in therapy

Fans watching Teen Mom: The Next Chapter are familiar with Cheyenne Floyd and Zach Davis’ infertility journey. The parents have their son, Ace, 3, and Cheyenne has daughter Ryder, 7, with Cory Wharton. Cheyenne and Zach hoped to expand their family, but after two years of trying, they ended up seeking therapy.

“We’re still in therapy — I love our therapist,” Cheyenne told Us Weekly at Us + Maidenform’s Reality Star Style Awards party in April 2025. “I think the strain came from, I started hiding when I was taking pregnancy tests, and he would be like, ‘Why are you upset throughout the day?’ And I wasn’t being forthcoming, but I also didn’t want to be the person who always delivers bad news, so we had to go to therapy to work it out.” The reality star noted that she “loves” her husband and needed to allow him to “show up” for her.

Cheyenne also received a PCOS diagnosis, which can affect her ability to conceive.

“Zach and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half now, and just being told you’re not fertile, it just doesn’t work,” she continued. “It’s hard. It’s really hard.”

Cheyenne noted that she wanted to discuss her journey on TV because she didn’t know the details of infertility before it happened to her.

“[I] just want to know, ‘Why didn’t anybody tell me?’” she said. “I’m crying in the bathroom by myself and then calling my best friend. What do I do? It’s hard. It’s so hard. But that’s why I wanted to talk about it on the show, and the influx of messages that I’ve got from people that are like, ‘Thank you.’”

Cheyenne Floyd spoke to a friend on the April 17, 2025, episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter about her struggles to get pregnant.

“I think in the beginning, when he got tested and the doctor thought it could be him, I felt like I was so compassionate, trying to pipe him up as a man,” Cheyenne said. “And I don’t know if he understands like what it feels like to be a woman and to be told your body’s not doing what your body was created to do.”

Cheyenne went on to question her communication skills with Zach Davis. “But I think that just goes back to the bigger issue with, like, my communication, like, I just don’t know if I’m good at communicating,” she admitted.

While speaking to her mom, Cheyenne admitted that she needed to work on some aspects of her romance with Zach. Her mom agreed and recommended professional help.

“I think you should start coaching sessions with Zach to help with your marriage,” Cheyenne’s mom said. “You guys are fine, you’re just being coached on how to be better.”

The ‘Teen Mom’ star said she only recently received a ‘crash course on fertility’

Cheyenne Floyd has learned a lot about fertility since trying to get pregnant for two years. In the April 3 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Cheyenne admitted to feeling “pressure” to get pregnant, especially after learning that Zach Davis had a normal sperm count.

“I was not trying to get pregnant when I got pregnant with Ryder. Now I’m trying and it’s not working,” she said. “Like, that whole mind game. The pressure’s on to get pregnant.”

“Walking out of that last appointment, finding out that we may or may not be able to have another baby naturally was tough,” she continued. “I think I’m, like, getting a crash course on fertility, honestly. Which I think is weird to say because I have two kids.”
