‘The Chosen: Last Supper’: When Is Part 3 in Theaters?
Forget Minecraft. While the blockbuster video game adaptation took in an impressive $163 million haul at the box office during its opening weekend, a smaller movie based on a much older story is drumming up significant ticket sales for theaters.
‘The Chosen’ Season 5 is in theaters now

The Chosen: Last Supper – aka The Chosen Season 5 – hit big screens a few weeks ahead of the Easter holiday, and the faithful are turning out in large numbers for the event.
The Chosen: Last Supper Part 1 (episodes 1 and 2), opened on March 28 and was the weekend’s number 3 movie at the box office after A Working Man and Snow White. It was followed by part 2 (episode 3, 4, and 5) on April 4. Part 2 was also number 3 at the box office after A Minecraft Movie and A Working Man.
Now, The Chosen: Last Supper Part 3 (episodes 6, 7, and 8) is coming to theaters. The conclusion of the trilogy opens on Friday, April 11, where it will face competition from The Amateur, Warfare, Drop, Sacramento, and another faith-based flick, the animated movie The King of Kings.
Following the release of part 3, dedicated viewers will be able to binge-watch all installments of The Chosen: Last Supper in select theaters beginning April 18 (Easter weekend).
Is ‘The Chosen: Last Supper’ streaming?
What if you can’t make it to the theater to watch The Chosen? You’ll need to take a cue from Job and be patient. The Chosen Season 5 is coming to Prime Video in the U.S. in June 2025. (Seasons 1-4 are already streaming on Prime Video.) If you don’t have a Prime subscription, you’ll need to wait a little bit longer. The streamer has a 90-day exclusivity window for season 5. After that, it should be available to watch for free on the The Chosen app, according to Deseret News.
Amazon’s deal with Dallas Jenkins’ 5&2 Studios also includes theatrical and streaming rights to The Chosen Season 6 and The Chosen Season 7, which will cover the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus. Prime Video will also stream a new unscripted series, The Chosen in The Wild with Bear Grylls.
“For several years, the team at Amazon MGM Studios has proved over and over they’re passionate about this show and our fans,” said Jenkins, director, writer, and producer of The Chosen. “They’re going to make us better and get the show to more people, and I can’t wait to build this relationship.”
