The Duggar family spent more than a decade on TLC. Over the course of multiple specials and shows, fans and critics watched most of the Duggar siblings grow up. Now that most of them are adults, and the family no longer has a reality TV show, they’ve opted to go their own ways. While many of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children maintain a public image through social media, a few have walked away from the spotlight completely. These Duggar siblings are living completely private lives.

Joseph and Kendra Duggar took a step back in 2021

Joseph and Kendra Duggar were never the most vocal Duggar family members, but their courtship, wedding, and early marriage, including the birth of their first three children, were featured on Counting On. While they were on the family’s reality TV series, they regularly updated their Instagram account with family photos, too.

That all changed right before Josh Duggar’s trial for possessing and receiving child pornography started. The duo uploaded their last post, a birthday photo dump for their daughter, Addison, on November 3, 2021. Josh Duggar’s trial began at the end of the month. The couple never returned to Instagram and opted not to announce the birth of their fourth child. Joseph Duggar appears to be working as a real estate agent now and was spotted visiting his sibling in jail.

Josiah and Lauren Duggar wiped their social media after his sibling’s arrest

Josiah and Lauren Duggar also took a stand against sharing their life on social media after Josh Duggar’s arrest. The Duggar couple, like Joseph and Kendra, allowed their early life to be shared on Counting On. When the series wasn’t in season, they were active with plenty of social media posts. One day, they just stopped uploading.

After Josh Duggar was arrested, Josiah and Lauren cleaned out their social media accounts and removed all photos of their child from public view. After TLC announced the end of Counting On, they deleted every photo from their public Instagram account and have not returned to repopulate it. They’ve welcomed at least two more children and built a house since then, all out of the spotlight. They seem to prefer it that way.

Justin Duggar moved to Texas and left the spotlight behind

In 2020, Justin Duggar shocked Duggar family followers when he announced his courtship. He was just 17 at the time. Shortly after turning 18, he announced his engagement and walked down the aisle a few months later. Justin Duggar and Claire Spivey initially appeared to have all of the makings of an influencer couple, but it didn’t pan out.

Their courtship was never shown because of Counting On’s cancellation, and their wedding, thrown during the height of COVID-19 restrictions, was not filmed. They briefly seemed interested in sharing their lives on Instagram. Still, the pair never uploaded consistently and completely stopped posting publicly in 2023. As of print time, it’s unclear what Justin does for a living or if they’ve welcomed any children. They have lived in Texas since 2020.
