The second season of The Valley will follow Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright as they navigate their divorce. Fans have tracked the couple’s relationship since the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules, in which Cartwright moved from Kentucky to Los Angeles to be with Taylor. Both are bringing the drama on the latest season of The Valley, but one is reportedly bringing home a bigger paycheck to do so.

Jax Taylor reportedly makes more than Brittany Cartwright

The first season of The Valley brought three Vanderpump Rules alums back to Bravo: Taylor, Cartwright, and Kristen Doute. The three former reality stars were a big draw for fans, and their paychecks reflected that. While all of them reportedly made significantly more than the rest of the cast, one of them walked away with more than the others.

According to the US Sun, Taylor earned a bigger paycheck than his estranged wife.

“Jax got paid the most for season 1 — around $30k per episode,” a source told the outlet. “Brittany and Kristen were just behind him, closer to $20/25k per episode.”

The new cast members — Luke Broderick, Danny and Nia Booko, Jesse and Michelle Lally, Jason and Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, and Zack Wickham — all reportedly made $5-10k per episode depending on how much they filmed.

After the success of the first season, the entire cast reportedly got a significant pay raise.

Brittany Cartwright said the stress of marriage to Jax Taylor was damaging her health

The second season of The Valley will follow Taylor and Cartwright as they navigate their separation. Cartwright has spoken about the stress and challenges of her relationship with Taylor, noting that his treatment of her resulted in health problems.

“[Jax] would talk about my body all the time,” Brittany said in the clip shared by Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I’ve got stretch marks from having his son. He would say that I looked like a tree trunk.”

Taylor has denied this, but multiple cast members have corroborated Cartwright’s claim. She added that he behaved much differently in public and in front of cameras than he did behind closed doors. It weighed so heavily on Cartwright that her health began to suffer.

“And it was like really wearing on me,” she said. “I was breaking out in hives and throwing up all the time. I broke out in hives every day for an entire year. It was because I was holding in everything that he was doing to me. And believing the things that he was saying to me.”

He is reportedly concerned about his reputation after the second season of ‘The Valley’

Though Taylor has pushed back against some of Cartwright’s claims, he reportedly has concerns about the way the second season of The Valley portrays him.

“Whatever fans think they’re going to see – his behavior is worse,” a source told the US Sun. “And most of it is caught on camera, the rest is talked about. A lot of viewers will never forgive him for his behavior, and he knows that.”

Already, fans have questioned whether or not Taylor still should have a role on the show.
