The Voice Battle Advisors are pivotal in shaping contestants’ performances. Thus, these music superstars provide specialized vocal techniques, stage presence, and coaching for newbie entertainers. Additionally, the advisors’ perspective offers contestants invaluable advice, elevating their performances during the high-stakes Battle Rounds.

However, some of these legendary performers only appeared in an advisor role while others went on to become full-fledged coaches. Here’s a complete list of every Battle Advisor ever on The Voice.

Season 27: Presently, Cynthia Erivo is advising Team Michael Bublé, and country quartet Little Big Town teams up with Team Kelsea Ballerini Also, Kate Hudson is an advisor to Team Adam Levine, and Coco Jones advises Team John Legend.

Battle Advisors who were coaches

Throughout its 27 seasons, The Voice has seen several Battle Advisors transition into full-fledged coaches. Initially, these industry pros lent their expertise before sitting in the iconic red chairs themselves.

Thus, some advisors proved so popular with viewers that they were tapped for a coaching spot. Below are the music superstars who made the leap from advisor to coach on The Voice.

However, those who made the transition from advisor to coach included Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Bublé, Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Nick Jonas, and Gwen Stefani, who served as advisors during seasons 1 through 10. Then, in seasons 11 through 20, John Legend, CeeLo Green, Kelsea Ballerini, Usher, and Dan + Shay guided contestants before becoming coaches. Most recently, Camila Cabello and Snoop Dogg joined the coaching lineup after stints as a Battle Advisor.

Per NBC Insider, there are 24 battles in total during season 27 of The Voice. Each coach starts the battles with 12 artists on their teams. Then, the performers are divided into pairs, with six members per team.

The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
