Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner Had ‘Different Mindsets’ at Coachella, Body Language Expert Reveals

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner proved their romance is going strong with their appearance at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The couple was in good company at the festival, as many other celebrities and influencers headed out for the first weekend. According to a body language expert, Chalamet and Jenner appeared to have “different mindsets” while enjoying the weekend. Here’s what the expert noticed about Chalamet looking less “emotionally invested” in Jenner.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet joined numerous other high-profile celebrities at Coachella in April 2025. The couple started dating in 2023, with many outsiders wondering how long the actor and the reality TV star could make their romance work. Jenner and Chalamet continue to prove doubters wrong by supporting each other at awards shows and spending time at popular events.

Chalamet and Jenner clearly have a lasting love connection. However, celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman says the couple’s body language at Coachella may show that Jenner has more interest in Chalamet than he does in her. But first, she noticed Chalamet’s “supportive hug.”

“Watching a show together, Timothée embraces Kylie from behind,” Honigman noted to Casino.ca, who commissioned the analysis. “This is a supportive hug. Timothée says, ‘I’ve got your back’ with his body language. Both his arms are around her, showing support, and her hands are on his hands, which is a comforting gesture, soothing him so that he knows she’s there with him.”

“When they stroll to their area before the show, their lips tell two completely different stories,” Honigman continued. “Timothée’s tongue is at the side of his mouth, showing that he’s thinking playful thoughts. He’s at Coachella for the laughs and the jokes. Kylie’s mouth, on the other hand, portrays something different; she licks her lips and stretches them ’til they disappear, showing that she’s a bit tense. She’s there for the photo ops.”

Honigman noted that “Kylie might like Timothée more than he likes her,” which explains their differing gestures. “When they’re filmed dancing and embracing together, it is Kylie who turns around towards her man, bestowing on him a loving kiss, embracing him and kissing his lips, whereas he then gives her a little peck on the cheekbone — affectionate, but not as emotionally invested.”

Kylie Jenner was ‘overthinking’ at Coachella, the expert noted

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman said Kylie Jenner looked much more self-conscious than Timothée Chalamet at Coachella. While Chalamet was there to have fun, Jenner seemed to worry about her appearance and how others viewed her.

“When we can see their hands, they show different mindsets,” Honigman continued. “He’s clapping absent-mindedly, just having fun, whereas her hands are rubbing one another, tense. Timothée isn’t overthinking, but Kylie is.”

Honigman added that Jenner’s “hair play” shows “she wants people to like her.”

“Bouncing to Charlie XCX, Kylie’s face is full of joy; she tries to convey happiness, but there’s a caveat,” she said. “Kylie strokes her hair away from her face with two full hands. This shows that she really cares how she comes across. She wants to be liked, and this hair smoothing is a soothing gesture, as she’s calming herself down.”

When Jenner looks down as she dances, it shows a moment of self-reflection. “She’s not as free as she might hope to appear.”

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet might’ve seen Jenner’s ex, Travis Scott, at Coachella. Scott and Jenner were on-again and off-again from 2017 to January 2023, and they share two children: Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3. Unfortunately, cheating rumors plagued their relationship. Model Rojean Kar claimed Scott cheated on Jenner with her, but Scott denied the rumors.

Either way, Jenner seems to have happily moved on with the Dune actor. Photos and videos show Jenner and Chalamet kissing, embracing, and dancing over Coachella weekend. However, rumors swirled that Scott disapproved of Chalamet and included lyrics in his song, “Meltdown,” to diss the actor. Scott didn’t play the song during his Coachella set.
