Paramount+ has officially renewed Tulsa King for a third season, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi. The crime drama, created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1883), has quickly become a fan favorite, blending gritty underworld drama with sharp humor and Stallone’s signature charisma.

The announcement follows the success of the show’s first two seasons, which drew strong ratings and solidified Tulsa King as one of Paramount+’s standout original series. Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the series follows Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who, after being released from prison, is exiled by his boss to set up operations in the Midwest. Season 2 delved deeper into Manfredi’s struggle to build a criminal empire in unfamiliar territory while fending off rival gangs, law enforcement, and old enemies from his past.

‘Tulsa King’ Season 3 will look different behind the scenes

No premiere date for season 3 was announced. But based on previous seasons, it’s likely that Tulsa King Season 3 will arrive before the end of 2025. Executive producer Dave Erickson was named as season 3’s showrunner, taking over duties shared by Terence Winter and Craig Zisk.

With Sheridan’s expanding television universe and Stallone’s growing presence on the small screen, Tulsa King is proving to be a winning combination of star power and compelling storytelling. As anticipation builds, season 3 promises to raise the stakes even higher in Manfredi’s battle for control—and survival—in the heart of Oklahoma.
