Recent Update From Whitney Way Thore Suggests She’s Filming More Episodes of ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’
Reality star Whitney Way Thore is living her best life. And it looks like TLC’s cameras have been there to capture all her special moments.
The body positivity activist recently took to Instagram to share photos from her latest adventure, a road trip to Virginia. One of the images showed Whitney sitting in the front passenger seat of a car, with multiple small cameras mounted on the window and the dash. That suggests the trip is being filmed for an upcoming season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
Fans are eager for a new season of ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’
Thore didn’t directly mention the cameras or her reality show in the post. But commenters speculated that she would soon be returning to TV.
“Yaaaaaay are you filming again? I can’t wait,” one person wrote.
“Does that second picture mean we’re getting another season???” another fan wondered.
New episodes of My Big Fat Fabulous Life last aired on TLC in September 2024. TLC has not shared an update on the status of the show. However, in mid-December 2024, Whitney confirmed that production on a new season was set to start in the near future.
“We’ve been shooting My Big Fat Fabulous Life for over a decade and we’re starting production for season 13 soon!” she wrote on Instagram. “I never imagined my television career would last this long.”
Whitney Way Thore says it’s ‘hard’ to be in the public eye, but she doesn’t regret doing her show
When Whitney began filming MBFFL life more than a decade ago, she had no idea it would endure for as long as it has.
“I’m shocked. We all are. We always are. Like, ‘Oh, we’re still going, you know?’” she told Showbiz Cheat Sheet in a 2024 interview.
With a 13th season of her TLC series on the horizon, Whitney says she has no intention of stepping away from the spotlight, even though being on TV also means being on the receiving end of bullying behavior, both on the internet and in real life.
“Even though it’s hard to be in the public eye, I would never take it back,” she said. “Even as I’m sitting here telling you, you know, ‘Six months ago, I was suicidal,’ I would not take it back. There have been too many wonderful, positive things that have come from this … people being able to connect to my mom or connect to me or to see this body-positive revolution that has literally happened in this last decade that I have seen with my own eyes.”
“No. No amount of bullsh*t would ever make me take that back,” she continued. “I feel incredibly lucky and grateful, and I’m going to ride this thing until the wheels fall off of it.”
My Big Fat Fabulous Life is streaming on Max and discovery+.
