It seems like Jay-Z has had 99 problems over the last few months.

Ever since Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ arrest, some have wondered how much celebrities who were once close to the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder, like Jay, knew about what went on at Diddy’s alleged “freakoff” parties. Then, in December, Jay-Z was named in a lawsuit after a woman, identified as Jane Doe, accused him and Combs of sexual assault when she was 13.

Jay, whose real name is Shawn Carter, did not stay silent. He denied the claims and fired back at the accuser and her lawyer before filing a defamation lawsuit. The woman has since withdrawn her complaint with prejudice, meaning it cannot be revived.

However, when that accusation was made it had social media buzzing about the “Hard Knock Life” rapper’s age difference with his wife, Beyoncé, and his admitted infidelity. One video making the rounds now is being dissected because of how Jay responded to someone who asked about going back to his private suite with him. Here’s more on that and the other video of the Carters at the Grammys that has fans split on Jay’s intentions.

Video of Jay-Z telling fan to come back to his private area

The video was shot in August 2024 during Jay-Z’s appearance at the Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center in New York City.

The billionaire music mogul can be seen walking with his team back to a private area set up for him at the venue. When one woman, who is recording with her cell phone, asks: “What’s it like in there Jay?”

The hip-hop artist smiles and tells her: “Nice! Come on in.”

“I want to,” the woman replies. Jay-Z is then seen pointing towards her and directing his staffers saying: “Come on, let her in.”

The face of the woman speaking and recording the video is not seen and so far hasn’t come forward to confirm or deny anything. And while some online were shocked by Jay inviting her back, others were adamant in defending him and opined that it seemed harmless as so many other people were around and this is more like an invasion of his privacy.

Another video resurfaced of Jay-Z making sure Beyoncé is followed

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Different Stories About When They Met Raises Questions After Rape Allegations

Another video of the rapper that’s been shared all over the internet recently shows Jay-Z ordering a bodyguard to follow Beyoncé at the Grammy Awards.

The 30-second clip shows Bey headed to the stage to collect her award and when she does Jay taps one of his bodyguards to follow behind his wife.

Fans had split reactions to the video and debated whether Jay was just acting as a responsible husband making sure his wife was safe or if having her followed was overly protective and controlling.

Some saw nothing wrong with it since Beyoncé is one of the most famous people in the world and a bodyguard’s job is to look out for her. But others argued that there was no reason for her to be followed to the stage at that moment as she was in a room full of other recording artists and music legends.
