Anthony Mackie
Anthony Mackie is an American actor famous for playing the superheroes Falcon and Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
His film acting debut came in the 2002 drama/musical 8 Mile, co-starring alongside Eminem, Brittany Murphy, and Mekhi Phifer. Other movies have included Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and The Hurt Locker.
On TV, Mackie reprised his MCU character in the Disney+ limited series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He also took the reins from Joel Kinnaman to play Takeshi Kovacs in Season 2 of the Netflix sci-fi drama Altered Carbon, adapted from the 2002 cyberpunk novel of the same name. And Mackie starred in the 2019 Black Mirror episode “Striking Vipers.”
In addition, his acting accomplishments include a degree from the distinguished Juilliard in New York City. The New Orleans native grew to love NYC while attending school there and owned an erstwhile Crescent City-style bar in Brooklyn.
