NBC‘s beloved comedy sitcom was inspired by creator Dan Harmon’s experiences in community college. Community garnered a cult following throughout its six seasons — the first five on NBC and the final season on Yahoo! Screen. In fact, after NBC canceled the series in 2014, fans called for the completion of its “six seasons and a movie” prediction. The day the cast contracts were set to expire, Yahoo ordered a sixth season with 13 episodes.
Community features actors Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, Ken Jeong, and Jim Rash. The ragtag group gets into hijinks as they attempt to graduate from Greendale Community College in Colorado. One issue throughout production involved Chase’s problematic behavior on set.
